Hi all,

I couldn't find all that many pics of librarian dreadnauts and so had to think a bit about how to paint mine. So to give you guys some points of reference, heres how mine turned out.

amazing paint job. but a question or 2 about the model. it looks like is arms (and body) are in a diferent position every pic it looks as if the arms not only move up and down but out to the side which if true is really cool.

(and by the way for future reference the corect spelling is dreadnought)

Yeah, the arms and pelvis are on gundam ball joints so they move in all directions (once youve done one of your dreads like this you wont be able to go back, theyre so much nicer). A pack of ball joints should set you back about 3 pounds I expect, really cheap. The head is also on a pin so he can turn left and right.

This...this is creativity at its finest.

how did you do it? did you strip the gundams? could you put up a totorial? and i am not a fan of how high the waist is either though. but that is amazing work

Ha ha! I was hoping no one would notice the waist. I actually did a furioso before this whose dimensions are fine but when I was doing this I had a lapse of attention and messed it up. There ended up being a gap in the waist and the whole thing was super glued solid, so I just had to run with it. And no, I didn't strip the gundams. Some shops near me sell little packets of ball joints, intended for modelling gundams.

I hadn't considered doing a tutorial but I think it can be arranged :tu:. I just have my death company dreadnought left to do, so it'll be then.

Can then be more like very soon? ;)

The paintjob is really great, what you've done with the arches does give it a mystical quality appropriate for a psyker Dreadnought. The Forgeworld arm is also a nice touch. Although I'm not fond of the extended waist and arms, it makes the Dreadnought look less sturdy.
