Artemis360
Hi all, I couldn't find all that many pics of librarian dreadnauts and so had to think a bit about how to paint mine. So to give you guys some points of reference, heres how mine turned out. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn81/Artemis450/IMG_1177.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn81/Artemis450/IMG_1174.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn81/Artemis450/IMG_1173.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn81/Artemis450/IMG_1172.jpg I know a couple of things arent done. its nearly there though. Redo
He is very lovely, very well painted. Hope you fun gaming with him. Personally I do not like the read arches on the Dread's chest. THink that they would better in gold...still way better than wht I could paint. Chaplain Gunzhard
How did you make the force weapon arm? Very nice Dread :) It's forgeworld ...but yeah great looking dread. I actually really love the purple affect. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213351-my-librarian-dreadnaut/#findComment-2538594 Share on other sites
Artemis360
Yeah, its the close combat weapon from the forgeworld daemon hunters dreadnaut. Tigon
The Force weapon arm is from ForgeWorld, and is a Grey Knights Dreadnought force weapon arm. igotsmeakabob!!
I'll say that I think the most impressive thing about the dreadnought is what you did *within* the arches... perfect. GlauG
Finally, someone other than me who painted it blue. ;) Seriously, a nice job. Your Force Weapon looks a lot classier than the job I did of mine, and I love the purple glow. Brother Nathan
nice model, bbut the red helm on the blue body just makes it look more like a smurf vet sarge than a libby dread. also purity seals on the forceweapon... Nice model though and nce job withe the purple to white! NExOBLIVISCARIS
amazing paint job. but a question or 2 about the model. it looks like is arms (and body) are in a diferent position every pic it looks as if the arms not only move up and down but out to the side which if true is really cool. (and by the way for future reference the corect spelling is dreadnought) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213351-my-librarian-dreadnaut/#findComment-2538745 Share on other sites

A pack of ball joints should set you back about 3 pounds I expect, really cheap. The head is also on a pin so he can turn left and right. Zeller
Don't like the height in the waist but I can't argue with the model. The glowing torso is sweet. Now if you could install a tesla coil that sparks bolts to his fingertips! I was hoping no one would notice the waist. I actually did a furioso before this whose dimensions are fine but when I was doing this I had a lapse of attention and messed it up. There ended up being a gap in the waist and the whole thing was super glued solid, so I just had to run with it. And no, I didn't strip the gundams. Some shops near me sell little packets of ball joints, intended for modelling gundams. I hadn't considered doing a tutorial but I think it can be arranged :tu:. I just have my death company dreadnought left to do, so it'll be then. teutogen
The paintjob is really great, what you've done with the arches does give it a mystical quality appropriate for a psyker Dreadnought. The Forgeworld arm is also a nice touch. Although I'm not fond of the extended waist and arms, it makes the Dreadnought look less sturdy. MRCHAOS
I could live with the arms, but the waist is just too wrong for me. In the first pic the arches actualy look like they are glowing, so well done for that. The Dreadnought is painted very well its only the waist that lets it down for me! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213351-my-librarian-dreadnaut/#findComment-2540232 Share on other sites
Taz
D'ooooh I knew I wasn't the only one who got the GK force weapon for their libby dread. Still, this is some primo work. Now that I feel all challenged and competitive I need the rest of my dreadnaught to come in so I can make mine too.
