Palanquin of Nurgle - ironKings return

I finally managed to get some time for the hobby - it came in the form of a small commission.

It's not quite finished, but here are some of the WIP's.

The idea was a wooden paneled palanquin or litter (not for kats!)

Using some regular prestick / pratleys putty and glue I build the base for the fat passenger. Used a marauder head (I think) as the base for his head. Then a bit of the old GS was applied and sculpted. It's ok I guess, I wasn't happy with his head but Brandon (client / friend) was ecstatic. The palanquin itself needs some filling and cleaning. It will be carried on the shoulders of 10 nurglings.

The fatman still needs some boils and perhaps a tentacle or two to make him nice and putrid. The front of the palanquin will carry this icon - built out of GS

I was thinking of a nice tongue coming out of the bottom hole once the icon is done.

Comments and Crits plse.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Yeh I am working on the disease element this week - or maybe after my friend / client comes back from Regionals in a couple days. Its for his army.

I have some primed photo's which I will put up soon. Next we are adding some sail-like banners and streamers, some tentacles and disease and of course the icon.

The idea was to have something completely different to GW's regular Palanquin - which is a horse (rofl) and a little more stylish and ominous. Once its all done up we may put a pale green led in the chamber to give it some light.

So my friend couldn't wait to finish the Palanquin - he's at regionals now... I think. So he primed and began painting - I managed to get a photo of the primed and based palanquin - as carried by 4 nurglings.

When he's back and I have time I will start with the tattered sails and disease.
