New to Witch Hunters

Hey everyone! I've been a member of B&C for about a year, but I've been active mostly in the Black Templar forum.

I've decided that I want to start a Witch Hunters army (the possibility of a new codex in the future is errelevant), but I have no idea how to go about it.

I'll be converting all of my own models (it's a counts-as army), so i want to keep things fairly elite and to have something that can at least pretend to be casually competitive.

I've heard good things about large numbers of Sisters on foot. (Breaking my "elite" rule here, but well worth it in my book. I love PA hordes.) Can anyone offer any insight into how to go about it? Rhinos and Chimeras are out of the question for the time being.

Further, I'd like to set a 500 point army goal that includes: 20-30 Sisters, at least one Penitent Engine, a priest and an Exorcist or Immolator. Suggestions?

What is a good kitout for a Heroine?

Also, can Inquisitor Karamazov take Psychic powers?

Inquisitor Lord Karamazov comes as is. No upgrades possible. Note also that he has to be in an army of 1500 points or more.

Without transport things are going to be rough, but at the 500-point level it's pretty hard to judge. Any idea about your competition? Frequently at low point levels you have someone in mind.

Penitent Engines are terrible and are onyl good for casual play...unless you take 9 of them, then maybe they could be interesting.

The standard is 2x Exorcists to blow tanks and Immolaters need to be taken in multiples to be effective. I think foot SoB are a real liability at their current cost but if I was to make a 500 point list it would be....

Canoness - Cloak, Eviscerator, Jump Pack, Mantle, BoSL

2x 14 woman SoB squad with 2x Melta and Veteran Superior

Keep the Canoness near the foot sisters and use DG as possible Disengage her from the squad to jump into assault with anything before it hits your SoB.

To add points I would add another SoB squad and a unit of Seraphim to pin down would be attackers. Basically jump the Seraphim ahead, sit in combat for a round and then hit and run so the sisters can rapid fire them again.

Edit: To add some long range firepower you can ally this list into a Guard army and take heavy weapons or a SW army for some Long Fangs. I would do 1x Rune Priest, 2x Wolf Scouts and 3x Long Fangs
