IA: Angels of Wrath

Origins

Late in the 37th Millenium Chapter Master Anaziel of the Dark Angels petitioned the High Lords of Terra for a new founding. The Disciples of Caliban were founded from the gene-seed of the Dark Angels. Along the way a ship of nascent marines was lost in transit. The High Lords ordered the lost stock replaced and the founding of the Disciples of Caliban proceeded as ordered. The ship was never seen again in the Imperium and presumed lost in the warp.

Anaziel and his Dark Angels, along with coteries from the other Unforgiven chapters took the ship with all hands lost. They used the nascent marines to found another chapter of the Unforgiven. The Angels of Wrath were born.

The Disciples were founded to hunt the Fallen known as Cypher, and the founding of the Disciples gave Anaziel the opportunity to solve a long standing problem within the Unforgiven. Traitors within. The Angels of Wrath were founded to watch the other Unforgiven chapters for signs the Fallen might be infiltrating from within.

So the prose is really rough but that is the basic outline for the Origins section.

A couple of questions:

(1) Is the hijacked ship a little trite?

(2) Is it conceivable that Anaziel would use founding the Disciples of Caliban as an excuse to devote an Unforgiven chapter to dealing with internal threats?

(3) Do the Angels need to be a full sized chapter? I'm not sure they do, if the initial hijacking was for say 300 nascent marines, and the other Unforgiven managed to cobble together another 200 or so gene-seed samples for a second generation, is that enough to be sustainable? Enough to fulfill their purpose?

Naming issues

In my initial thread someone thought there was a citation out there for an official GW Angels of Wrath chapter. I couldn't find one but if there is the name may have to go. Some alternatives:

Knights of the Watch

Knights of the Order

Dark Watch

Angels Guardian

Angels of the Watch

Wardens of Order

Guardian of Angels

Other naming thoughts are welcome.

Thanks for taking the time.

I'm not sure involving them with the Hunt for Cypher is such a great idea, it seems like it would have been mentioned in some place. If you find your Chapter is important enough to merit its own place in the canon, then you're trying too hard. Aditionally, you probably shouldn't involve an establishe dDA character.

Also, I think the "Lost Company" idea is considered cliche, although you don't see it around so often, so perhaps it is not so much cliche any more?
