Dark Apostle Thirst
I like that shade of green, indeed that raptor champ is your best mini I have seen. Thanks ;) I have more pictures of him in my album, if you wish to see more of him. Dark Apostle Thirst
For sure, any of his face? Sorry about the delay... someone else had to use the computer, when I came back I saw this, and took pictures. I had trouble with the lighting of this picture, so I took multiple pictures in high lighting and low lighting. Let me know which ones best portray him... Sorry, this one is a little blurry. I liked these two. Made his tears of blood more obvious, although it also revealed a flaw in my attempts to make a rim of red around where the bionics connected with his flesh. My detail brush is way too big... but the tools are only as bad as the artist. This above picture is a top shot of him. Here's where I switched over to dimmer lighting. Not sure what to comment on this one, besides that it too reveals the tears of blood look. A view from the other side. Another top view, dimmer lighting. Less blurry than the high lighting picture. Final image! And probably the best. Brother Argent
Sweet. I'm impressed. Do you have a sutiable Arthurian name for him? I might have to include him in some soon to be revealed Iron Dragon writing. Oh and I got the subtle hint with the reminder of the deadline. I've had the guy finished for a week or so but have been waiting to get a day off so I can get some good photos of him. Should have some on Wednesday, all things being fair. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Oh, good. I thought I was going to rapidly dig out a camera, set it up, take the picture, upload it, and post it right now. At least I'm not in Europe right now. Then it would be tomorrow. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Finished. Unfortunately, my only sculpted shoulder pad in that shape was glued to a guy so I couldn't use the bike.  http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j448/Dyingdutchman2/DSC00925.jpg  http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j448/Dyingdutchman2/DSC00920.jpg  http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j448/Dyingdutchman2/DSC00919.jpg  http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j448/Dyingdutchman2/DSC00918.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213698-2010-diy-swap-project-finished-models/page/2/#findComment-2602327 Share on other sites

Solid Zaku
Nice face, and I really like that you didn't butcher my Chapter insignia. KhorneHunter57x
It is 02:08 on the 31st where I am, so technically I failed to meet the deadline, but... onipunk
That looks great, Reyner, and the army is known for using Mark VI and pre-Heresy styled armour, so kudos for that. I'm also surprised you went to the extra effort of getting an actual Scorpion shoulder pad, so thanks for that. Looks great, well done :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213698-2010-diy-swap-project-finished-models/page/2/#findComment-2603775 Share on other sites
BOBMAKENZIE
So I am a touch late but I think it is remotely forgivable XD Im going to try for better pictures towmorrow. So here we have a Purifier just 10 ranged kills from becoming a blessed purifier. He has been marking his armour with the tens of kills he has earned (right side combat, left side ranged) though its hard to see. Dark Apostle Thirst
Just waiting for a camera battery to charge then I'll get5 up a pick. Hopefully not too late... EDIT: Here we are, one dodgy shot of the Wraiths of DArkness. Better images will hopefully follow in the next few days Mmmmm, wear and tear... I noticed the closer I looked at him, the more details came up that I didn't notice at first. I didn't notice that the chainsword was slightly longer, was it extended or am I seeing things? You didn't have too harsh of highlights, either, although perhaps a red wash for the red parts would give the color more depth. Other than that I can't complain, so :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213698-2010-diy-swap-project-finished-models/page/2/#findComment-2607756 Share on other sites
Brother Argent
Yeah, the Chainsword is extended (double length). He is also wearing a tattered black cloak, lthough you cant see it from this angle. The red looks really washed out because I took the photo at night with a flash. It looks much better in reality (should gt petter pics up soon). Also the battle damage looks better in real life. Hopefully I can get some better pics when I try retaiking them. Dave the Twisted
So here's my Lions of the Dawn, Captain Adelais. Posting a bit late since I almost forgot about posting in the HoH thread. Since my hobby shop closed, I couldn't get gloss varnish for the base, so here he is as he was when I showed him in the WIP thread, done with everything but the base. Slyen
Rather late but I just found my camera (hopefully I can find the charger for it soon :/)  So without further ado here is the model. He is a member of The Bladeborn, Tutteman's DIY chapter.  http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e348/Slyen/40k%20Stuff/SDC11423.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e348/Slyen/40k%20Stuff/SDC11424.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e348/Slyen/40k%20Stuff/SDC11425.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e348/Slyen/40k%20Stuff/SDC11426.jpg   The two biggest points that stand out were the base and the abscene of badges on either shoulder pad. In the two pictures I saw on the site there was no chapter icon, but there was a tactical squad marker. Rather than risk screwing the model up all together with my horrible free hand I left it absent, not to mention that he could be used in any squad as a sergeant or as a captain (or some other hero that he could stand in for). With the base it was simply a matter of giving him a temp one. I'd rather leave him un based as I planned on mailing him provided Tutteman wants him, that way he could be based to match with the rest of the army.  However after I finished I also noticed that I got a little zealous with the chest eagle. On the demo model it is painted silver/gunmetal. I however painted it red like the eyes and the squad markings would be (if they were present).  Hope it is liked and again, apologies on the tardiness.
