Ethnic Minority
Here's the beginnings of a blood angels army, using recycled marines from years ago plus a few new units (the dread, maybe some vanguards). assault cannon dread, a bit plain looking right now. I really don't know what to do for inside the leg arches and the chest plates.. http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9441/img0188ru.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/5867/img0184o.jpg assault squad http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/2816/img0185u.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2168/img0159z.jpg Ebaybought some cheap black reach snap-fit marines for army filler, hoping to kitbash with devastator and death company bits. I highly suggest grabbing the snap-fits from ebay, they're super cheap! Probably won't need to spend more than $75 before I'm done. zeroeightfive
that dread is crying out for some freehand murals on his shoulders. also might wanna get bigger/higher res pics for your assault marines, they look clean but kinda flat. either way, cant wait to see more progress! Ethnic Minority
thanks guys :) I'm really stuck for the dread though. I don't wanna make it too ostentatious for a vanilla/grunt/fire-support dread, yet I don't want to leave the shoulders or archways bland. I'm deliberating on having two blood drop pendants swinging from hanging chains, wings sprouting out at head-level (where the helmet is), or spamming purity seals. Murals are a bit too advanced for me at the moment. I'm also deliberating on whether or not to paint the trim gold, paint only the bolts/studs gold, or leave the general colour-scheme as is. Any advice is welcome.. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213757-wip-blood-angels-army/#findComment-2543852 Share on other sites
onipunk
I hear the brass etch from Forgeworld is good for that sort of thing. I've never tried it myself, but it seems to be just the thing you're looking for.
