Awesome stuff man, I'd go for the Daemon Prince wings rather than the Griffon's. They just make him seem more evil and sinister, rather than slightly Angelic as the feathery ones do.

I think he looks great.

 

Two things:

1. I like the daemon prince wings better. He looks a lot more sinister that way.

2. I think it would look just a little better if you find something a little wider for him to be landing on. Like his talon is grabbing it.

 

I can't wait to see a finished model!

Feathery wings, definitely. If you're worried about him not being sinister enough, you could always achieve that with the paintjob and/or modelling the base (bodies etc).

Go with the feathered wings. Support their effect by making his staff into a Was sceptre (represents power, dominion, and Set; god of darkness and chaos, half-brother to falcon headed Horus). Add some beaded jewelery here and there, and reap the benefits of invoking ancient evil.

my vote is for the feathers, but i could see it looking good with the demon wings, if you sculpted some feathers on where they join with the back and up the top perhaps. Either way, be sure to put them on pointing back, like an eagle does when it dives for a kill:

I had this idea when i first saw Island of Blood, but never got round to doing it. Go for the feathery wings, and i'd paint him up like horus(the God).

The feathered wings will look better with that choice of head. Bird head plus bat wings would kinda look really off, in my opinion.

jumai@ love the idea i think this is a direction i could now be headed,along with the wing idea from replica ,as i had no real idea to start with.as noted by you guys it is a combination of the griffon elf general and daemon prince and as soon as i saw the griffon i knew i had to do something with it ;) i just didnt know what
