The Harbinger

Just got this finished up today after quite a while of working on it. This is my stand in model for Astorath. The character fills the same role as Astorath in my successor chapter only the position is more like Cypher in the Dark Angels. When one holds the position he loses his old identity. Anyways I hope you like it, cc is welcome as always.

Yeah I guess I should have explained a little bit. The torso is from a GK termie and the limbs are from berserkers. I was hoping that over all it wouldn't scream terminator and instead would look like a massive suit of artificer armor that requires a modified jump pack to lift it. I'm a big fan of Iron Armor and I don't particularly care for the heavily ornate suits of artificer armor that the BAs tend to use so I'm trying to lean towards a more "armored" look for my successors. I know the left hand is a bit too straight up and down to be holding a pistol and it throws it off a little but it was the best option I had.

Well, he certainly is grim enough :P . Interesting choice of bits, for some reason I didn't even notice the modified jump pack at first glance...must be losing my eagle eye. A fella that big seems to hint that not all of his chosen quarry are.....cooperative.

I can't tell what's going on with his right leg, looks a bit odd from what I can see. The blood jewels seem a bit off, too. Though in all honesty I'm not sure how to make a gem match a dirtied/beaten up/ancient color scheme :P Probably a bit late to model some cracks into it :P

Aye I get what you mean. In hind sight I could have done a better job on the right leg. It might look a little better if I had just made it the same as the left. Ah well. Never say never though. Half of my projects are touch ups and re-models of my existing units. I'll probably give him another go over once I clear my plate a little bit.
