TheMouth
Chairman...now you see why I posted this question...it really is on the razors edge about which way it could go on this.
shatter
If the rule said "May disembark as if deploying via DS from reserve," then I wouldn't argue one bit, but it doesn't. Gray rules, dude. I'd make you roll 4+. What the book has :"...deploy the squad as if it is deep striking..." So, you are on my side then! <_< Sure... as long as you make your reserve roll. :P Skies of Blood is horribly written. It's so bad, I could have written it. I KNOW!! Definitely in the top 5 of stupid Wardisms. I have nothing against the guy really; I like the codex. It's the editor(s) & testers that need power-fisting. If this method was intended to be valid for disembarkation, and they were on the ball, I'd expect a mention in the Skies of blood rule. *sigh*
Judaz
Yeah, this is a rule that should have been read through before printing the codex. I don't see a way that the locator beacon wouldn't work with skies of blood. But a Dreadnought can't use skies of blood, right? It actually says 'squad' in the rule.
