Grimtooth
You can see my new list here. So this new list ties in from the discussion here. What I would like is some nitpicking discussion about what may or may not work with this list. I have all the models to make this list, but have not had the chance to game in about 3 weeks so has not been tested yet at all. So as was mentioned in the other thread, the ideal deployment would be: RRRR RRRR RRRR F F F F F F F F F F TWC TL TWC Now of course variations of this deployment would be adaptable to terrain and mission parameters. It could be adapted to a refused flank, echelon, and even a modified wedge. The common theme would be the Rhinos giving cover to the Fenrisian wolves who in turn would giving a cover save to the non-storm shield equipped TWC. Now truth be told, my individual GH packs have for the most part earned their points back and then some far more then my Thunderlord ever has it seems. I credit this to the fact that I always run my GH packs in support of each other and that has been crucial. So that being said, I thought that instead of supporting each other, why not dedicate some "hardened infantry" the task of supporting the GH packs individually? Now my other list has one unit of WGTDA in a drop pod that served as my "hardened infantry". They supported my GH packs as a whole by dropping in anywhere on the board and raising enough havok that my opponent loses his focus on his own troops and my GH packs swoop in to decimate them. With this list, I enivision the individual TWC packs being close enough to rush in and support the GH packs with whatever I task them (clearing objectives, scoring kill points, etc, etc). The thunderlord is left as a free agent of sorts. His speed will allow him to rush off after the other units are engaged to take on anything that an opponent may start moving to support his units being killed by my TWC/GH packs. Barring that, he is free to run amok in my enemy lines killing targets of opportunity. Thoughts/criticisms?
