uhefter
I'm just starting a Imperial Fists Battle Force. I've got the shade of yellow I like, but I'm having trouble highlighting (or dark-lighting) the cracks and spaces in the power armor. I've seen some posts about running "watered down ink" into the indentions, but my question is, should I go buy some ink, or, can I water down some paint? And If so, what's the ratio? Has anyone tried this before? Does anyone have any tips? Thanks all. The Black Watch
You can water them down if you feel like it. The GW one's are 'ready made' though. I can't remember the ratio I use - I just keep adding more water until it looks right! novasminis
buying the inks is well worth it, when using watered down paints its much easier to get rings where the paint spreads and dries at the edges of the bits you put down (due to surface tension and oils on the model) I find using the inks means you dont have to be as careful and will save some time.
