Blood Angels and "nose art"

Ok, so I have beenbuilding models in one way or another for about 15 years. I have a ton of WWII nose art decals lying around, does it work for Blood Angels, or even the 40k universe, or am I better off going out and starting a IG army ;)

I have a feeling it might clash with the whole gothic thing....

Any thoughts?

So long as you're not putting a big picture of Pluto from a bomber kit onto a tank you should be fine. They would make for a nice detail on the upper front plate of a predator turret or the arms of a dreadnought. If you have them small enough perhaps you could put then on banners or even knee caps so long as they aren't too cartoony.
I would save it for a Guard army. Over on the Imperial Guard Message Board there are some interesting Valkyrie nose art threads going on. I think "non-Blood Angely" art would look really out of place on Blood Angels miniatures. But hey, they're your models, so do whatever you want. :tu:
I'm suddenly picturing a Codex Grey (for the n00bs: back in RT painting a vehicle in chapter colours was a deviation, the Codex Astartes dictated that the basic Astartes vehicle scheme should be grey, hence the name of the paint) Vindicator with graffiti painted it to make it look like a bit of building.

Idea: If you have a Furioso, you should use the sharky face decals on each of its CCWs.

That way, the last glimpse any xeno/heretic/rebel scum would have of your Dreadnought is a pair of shark faced claws reaching for them.

And it would be awesome.
