CainTheHunter Posted October 28, 2010 Share Posted October 28, 2010 It is a decent table top quality - You just have to do something with the bases. These are Your first marines? Mine first attempts were much much worse - I started to paint like You in about one year. And don't take any offence, but sometimes You need to thin down Your paints a bit - look at the aphotecary's white shoulderpads and there are some smudgy bits on terminator, which are apparently because of the texture of the paint. Only critiques i could make would be the same as CainTheHunter, thin the white. When i do white i paint 2 thin (like only a little thicker than milk) coats of shadow grey, then 2 thin coats of white. Also, clean the mould lines, they will ruin a model. But i really like the red, well highlighted and i really love your chest eagles, very cool. If I dont have enough time it will be just a basic base. If I have time it will be scenic urban base. These, in my opinion, don't look as good as the others because I have to hurry up painting. I still have 25 marines to paint in 5 days:).
