Raye Raye and the Return of her Night Lords..

Okay, it's been an absolute age since I posted here. I found though, that maintaining my blog doesn't give me enough motivation to paint, so maybe, just maybe, if I post here, I'll paint.

 

I've recently done up the Night Lords Hero (who is a Chaos model, but I figure Night Lords sort of looked like this before the Heresy anyways, so no big deal) incidentally, he's the only model in my army you'll find with the bat wings. I quite like them on him, but it won't be happening elsewhere. He's eccentric. :-P

He loves the carpet. It is soft on his armoured boots.

 

The quality of these photos is terrible, as I felt compelled by guilt to do them, and it's dark here.

This is WIP because I hate his plasma pistol. It looks rubbish. ;)

Looking good, I like teh highlights o the armour but regarding the lightning bolt icinography - I would use a lot more layers (starting with a layer just a little darker than base) and progressivly add ICe blue but keep the paint thin so it just stains the previous layer, until you get to almost pure ice blue, then a final white line will add teh actual bolt and be starkly different. See Bro Nihm's post-Heresy Night Lords for inspiration - they are great!

Cheers for that I'll definitely take a look at it. It doesn't look quite so blotchy IRL. The flash has a lot to answer for. :)
