Space Wolves + Adeptus Sororitas

If the threat was big enough to warrant it, I suppose. But the Wolves ain't big fans of the Inquisition or the Ecclesiarchy, and the Sisters are the official arm of one and the unofficial arm of the other. Plus, I think Space Wolves beat the snot out of Sisters during an attempt by the Inquisition to investigate Fenris or something.

So they don't really like each other, no.

IN Apoc, just about anything goes. But yes, I would say definitely say they can and would work together (although I'm biased as I have a Wolves army and my wife plays Bolter Broads). Just one suggestion - give all the Sisters squads Valkyrie transports, Sisters do dirty, nasty things when mounted in a Deep Striking, Fast, Skimmer transports.

@ Khavos - You are correct - in 886.M41, that happened. Well, that's a bust. I had forgotten about that completely.

@ dswanick - I really dig the Nuns-with-guns myself. I used to play them back in 2d Ed, until I traded them out for Guard and been playin' them since (until the new SW codex came out)

I understand that the fluff - they dont' like each other and with our Pride as it is - wouldn't want to work with the =I= even if we had to. So, I will leave that idea alone and just collect the models I like and paint them up. lol - or file off their =I= iconography and make them female SW's <_< Or - Shield Maidens!

From my understanding it's more the inquistors that put people to death for no reason that the Wolves don't like. They usually tolerate or get along with the militant arms of the inquisition. But the Space Wolves would never take orders from the Sisters of Battle. Maybe suggestions.

They are women in power armour, of course the space wolves would be eager to take a can opener to them, keeps them entertained for hours!

XD In all seriousness, while they are probably not the greatest fans of eachother, they would probably work together if they had to. There are many arms to the sisters in the same way there are many different branches of space marine. Just space wolves are proud and probably quite stubborn when it comes to grudges I would imagine, but if against a common foe I imagine they would put it aside to kick the arse of a geninue foe to mankind.

Hey, I didn't mean to shoot the idea down entirely. I mean, if the Blood Angels and the Necrons can start exchanging Christmas cards, anything's possible.

Oh, no - I didn't suggest that you shot it down - I just know how I am about grudges, pride and dealing with people who you feel aren't up to your standards.

@Wysten - uh, yea...exactly! They are militant serving wenches far as I'm concerned. I can totally see a conversation between a Cannoness and a Wolf Guard...

Or Lukas..

Picturing Grimnar talking to Canoness - and You can also have Lukas ex gratia, feel free to use him as You wish, but be warned that he does not come with a manual and we don't mind if You don't give him back. And finally - good luck!

Sister of Battle: I guess for now we will join forces to...

Wolf Guard: I don't see a ale in your hand.

Sister: Wha-

Wolf: If your not bringing me a drink, get the throne off my battle field and get back in the kitchen before I purge you with my power axe use your carcuss as thunder wolf bait.

*Epic 3-way fight*

Something like that anyways. XD

Space Wolves are not dwarves. As far as I am aware the fluff makes no mention of Space Wolves being overly prideful or likely to hold a grudge. They are portrayed as very loyal to their pack / great company / chapter but nowhere can I recall the Space Wolves ever denying aid or refusing a fight due to past deeds. The only place I can think of that sort of mention is with regards to the Dark Angels yet even that is portrayed more as a formality than an actual enmity.

With specific regards to the Ecclesiarchy practically every human world will have representatives of the Ecclesiarchy. The idea that any chapter could operate without being willing to work alongside them is hard to fathom. The Space Wolves are certainly very defensive of their autonomy as a Space Marine chapter and would make it quite clear that they are under no compulsion to obey any external authority but the chapter is also very much aware of their role as the defenders of humanity and the idea that they would shirk that duty over a grudge seems quite at odds with the background to me.

Thats true enough actually, but they don't just build grudges on anyone either. But when they do they are long lasting. Dark Angels and Space Wolves for example, and while nothing has happened to armagedon yet, I imagine he does not take it lightly. It's even said he's waged war of loyal imperial instutuions if he considers it a threat to the people he protects. Something not typical in a space marine chapter, and several companys have shown a willingness to protect people that the imperium would want dead otherwise. They are extremely loyal to the people of the imperium, but I imagine working with them would create tension with those not sharing the same wavelength at times in the same way that working with Dark Angels could lead to devistating defeats when they suddenly break off.

Of course, they all fight for the imperium, so I imagine they would all fight together as and when needed.

I know that Black Library isn't canon, but in the Ragnar Series there is an Inquisitor that is a close friend to Logan and comes to him for help.

Actually Ragnar wasn't pleased with the association but it was dictated by the mission. Though he never was truly comfortable around the Inquisitor he eventually he developed a respect for the Inquisitor.

I just finished the Saga recently.
