Growler67
I don't have my BRB with me at work but I was pondering some musings. Are TL Assault Cannons only available as a vehicle option or are they a legal option for Dreads. Not wanting to go "Rifleman" (one per arm) variant but it would be the meanest thing ever faced within 24". Dreads have access to TL autocannons, lascannons, and heavy flamers/bolters only. Growler67
So then a "Rifleman" variant would be legal as the two would be mounted on separate arms and not twin linked, right? CainTheHunter
So then a "Rifleman" variant would be legal as the two would be mounted on separate arms and not twin linked, right? No, since the DCCW can be replaced only either with TL-autocannon or missile launcher. The only rifleman option is to have TL-autocannons on both arms. mschrieb
A Space Wolf Dreadnought can't have 2 assault cannons at all. The DDCW can only be replaced with a Missile Launcher or a TL Autocannon. Traditional the Rifleman dread is equipped with 2 TL Autocannons. One on each arm. CainTheHunter
Amazing, but sometimes two people say the same things at the same time, without knowing about each other :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214144-twin-linked-assault-cannons/#findComment-2548715 Share on other sites
Growler67
Was just musing but the responses are most appreciated my brothers. It would make a great point defense or objective defense platform. In conjunction with a pack of Long Fangs in a "King of the Hill" scenario it would be a dominant choice. wolfpack
you could always use the VDR to build a dread...not that it would be tourney legal but a nice addition to say a fun play list...rather expensive though ... you could always use the VDR to build a dread...not that it would be tourney legal but a nice addition to say a fun play list...rather expensive though ... Growler67
Never played tourney's and now am more in it for the crafting than the playing.........mostly due to lack of time availability and those I usually face prefer endless meat-grinder scenarios which kill me due to duration and monotony. If i were better at painting I would be in it for the money as well crafted/modded models that are expertly painted fetch a very nice sum these days. Alas, I just enjoy the building and modelling to exercise my creative juices......when I have the time. Myxx
I made a 2x TL-Assault Cannon dread for my =][= army. It throws about as much lead as some of the heavier IG units. (I haven't updated the pics yet in my gallery, but I added a back banner and some more Inq. on the sarcophagus.)
