Valerian
Nothing found under "search" but I assume someone must have pieced this together? The newest and youngest is Ragnar Blackmane. If I remember off of the top of my head he has been a Wolf Lord for about 17 years (983M41). That might not be exactly right, but it isn't off by much (my references aren't with me here at work). He was one of the Wolf Guard for Berek Thunderfist, and was elected by his peers to replace Berek when Ragnar lead the hunt to track down and take vengeance on those that had killed his Lord. Other than him, I don't think we have a shred of background material that mentions any of the timelines for the rest of the Wolf Lords. Well, except for Logan Grimnar, who has been the Great Wolf for over 500 years. We can only hypothosize when he became a Wolf Lord prior to that. storm bringer
What about Gnyrll Bluetooth, wasn't he a Wolf Lord when Huron Blackheart struck him down? (y995, M41). Is there any fluff on who replaced him? PS In all of this I am assuming that being a Wolf Lord means you lead one of the 12 Great Companies- Is this still true given the "Leaders of the Pack rule" in our lastest codex? Wysten
I imagine wolf lords are killed fairly often in combat leading from the front, considering how many different names exist in the codex itself. Though most are well established Wolf Guard anyways. Hence probably why the Great Wolf's lifespan is so impressive, most probably premote glory so much that they end up killing themselves. I would put that wolf lord dying to fluff error though, offically Rengar is the youngest, though it mentions nothing about how long each wolf lord has lasted, hence Rengar may have a longer Wolf lord service record compared to one or two Lords, though not the longest millitry record.
