chaplain belisarius
any idea when the model will be released? any idea what it will look like? thanks...:P
bulley
Rumour is that it will get released with the Grey Knights in or around Feb (should they get announced in Jan). Only reason I am holding back making one or buying the forgeworld Ram thing as a count as. IF they are making the model (forgeworlds lack of a model makes me think they are), I'll prob end up with 6 lol (for my GK's aswell!)
NExOBLIVISCARIS
rumor from a reliable sorce (stickmonkey) says it looks like a mini thunderhawk
Brother Xeones
Actually, I remember that Stickmonkey said the concepts he saw looked like a cross between the I.N. Lightning and the dropship from Aliens. Take that for what you will. I personally have trouble coming up with a mental blend of those two. :o Most rumors seem to point to a release with the Gray Knights (whenever that is --Feb or March most likely), but a recent rumor elsewhere stated that the Stormraven would be available as a post-Christmas release. I'm skeptical about this however since Skaven are rumored to get their second release in Jan I believe. I'd be surprised to see them do 40k and fantasy in the same month --even if neither were "full" releases.
bulley
I'd put money on Feb - and an annoucement come dec or jan for it. There would be alot of money to be made for a storm raven release. I mean I alone will definatly pick up a few (it would be rude not to try a triple raven list!) Not to mention for my knights as well. GW already loves me (and they know I am buying a mech guard army later next year lol). I am like their little cash cow in my local store.
Warboss John
my reasoning would be that THEY WONT RELEASE A MODEL!!! just a crazy concept i know but from what u can guess the model would cost somthing like $60 and almost every conversion ive seen is a landraider/valkyrie frankenstien. both kits adding to about $110. so if i was in GW marketing i wouldnt release a model cus ppl r buying 2 of the most expensive kits for 1 model. just a thought? Blood Angel Scout
Was there a model/design for the Stormraven released in Epic? If so, would make sense if a 40K version resembled it

I'd wager that for every person who has actually tried to kitbash one together, there are at least 2 to 3 people who couldn't be bothered to make there own, but who would gladly snap up two or three if there were a kit. Open it up to regular marine armies and dedicated Stormraven kit sales likely far outstrip the money GW would make off of the Valk+LR kitbashes people are currently making. Was there a model/design for the Stormraven released in Epic? If so, would make sense if a 40K version resembled it No, the Stormraven is a completely new beast. No kit (or artwork) has ever been made by GW previously --or at least nothing that was ever made public. We are in uncharted territory. That can either thrill you or scare you depending on your perspective (ei. a new kit as horrific as the Razorgor/Minotaurs as opposed to the beautiful DE stuff we've been seeing). Me? I'm waiting to see whether or not I like the design of the kit before I decide to get one or make my own.

SamaNagol
I'll buy 2 for my FTs and 2 for my GKs even if just for display
River Black
I have been holding out on making my own until I see a dedicated model.
