LunaWolf07
Not sure if this is the right place to put these... but this year for Halloween my fiance and I put together some Inquisitor costumes and I wanted to share. http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll276/SarlaccBits/Costumes/102310_SethKim.jpg (our final costumes) http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll276/SarlaccBits/Costumes/Kim_Tryon_2.jpg (this was a try-on, not the final costume) http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll276/SarlaccBits/Costumes/Seth_1.jpg (My fiance trying his on for the first time) http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll276/SarlaccBits/Costumes/MyBook.jpg (my hand painted Aquila) Anyone else do Warhammer for Halloween this year? Hubernator
No but I recognise the Nerf N-Strike Maverick pistols you've sprayed silver :D
LunaWolf07
No but I recognise the Nerf N-Strike Maverick pistols you've sprayed silver :P Heck yes! They made perfect bolters. We're going to make a few more modifications to them for Inquisitors 2.0 - but as they were they looked pretty darn cool. ^_^
Hubernator
Awesome ^_^ You could try and modify thata new one, the Stampede I think it's called. Give it a few tweaks and a coat and you could have a nice boltgun in your hands.
Validar
The leather shoulders isn't really working for me, but that may be because I'm a LARPer and used to leather stuff ;) Otherwise awesome! You've really worked on the details, books, chains, etc. which makes it great! Could a closeup of the staff on the top picture (the skull cane) be possible? Where did you get it? And if you're feeling (mighty) rich you can get some awesome hatwork from this german dude
Cpt. Salvatore
Cool looking. I see a lot of space for improvement but as above, maybe because I am a LARPer too:D Anyway, the thing that made my day on that was that Fleur de Lis/Aquila on the book. It is so cool that when I get to paint it, it will be on the backside of my sisters battle standart.
The Normish
Not bad at all, I like the book as well. Always had a soft spot for both Aquilas of any kind and Fleur-de-lys. It comes with being French and a fan of the old European Empires, I suppose. I'm not sure what a LARPer is though, could someone enlighten me? The Normish
Live Action Role Playing - like playing a roleplay game IRL ;) Ah... Should I be frightened because you dress up to role-play, or worried because I already do the role-playing, only without costumes?
LunaWolf07
Thanks everyone. I know the costumes could use a lot of work to be more "authentic" but on our time-frame we did an ok job. I went with leather vs hard armor since I have done work with hard armor before (Mandalorian costume a couple years back) and it was a nightmare. I really have no desire to try again. On the cane... not 100% sure where my fiance got that... I think he said he picked it up at a Halloween store a few years back. I could snap a close up photo of it and post it later this week. The hat he bought this year at a Halloween store since it looked "close enough." I'm nor sure if he is going to want to upgrade that yet, he paid about 20 bucks for it and wasn't happy about the price of it... hehe... I cant imagine him paying any more. The Fleur-De-Lis / Aquila combo I found that someone had drawn it for another Imperial costume (a lovely puffy dress) and I had to use the design on my book. I free handed the book while looking at the original artists work. Not sure who drew it, but the costume they put it on rocked. :P We dont do any LARPing... just enjoy the costume creating when the season is right and the mood strikes us.
