Lord Doyok
Do he receive +1 or +2 attack bonus for charging? I assume he gets just +1 attack since he has no Berserk Charge rules in his entry. But which is actually true? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214373-lukas/ Share on other sites
Wysten
He does not get the +1 for attack, he's not a blood claw, just no one wants to premote him. So like Wolf Guards, they don't get that unit bonus. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214373-lukas/#findComment-2551714 Share on other sites

He is a BC upgrade, but he does not have their Berserk special rule. Another omission on behalf of the GW, or was it intentional? Who knows. In the dark grim future, there is no common sense, only war and laughter of thirsting gods. Seems strange considering he's probably so rebelious, that it makes the Wolf Lords seem like ultra marines in compersion. I would of throught he would have more nutty rules considering what a tricky guy he is. XD I doubt it would of broken him, 5 Wolf Claw attacks on the charge is what a wolf lord recieves anyways. So like Wolf Guards, they don't get that unit bonus. ^^This. Also, what is the problem? He has WS 5 and BS 5 to make the most use out of his wolf claw and plasma pistol. He had 2 wounds. He has a WTN and a WTT, helping him hit and giving some psychic protection to his Blood Claws. He has initiative 5. He cannot be targeted in close combat. The combination of his Last Laugh and Doppelgangrel cloak can make for difficult nut to crack that gives up a nasty surprise. Seriously it seems that people do not grasp the concept of UPGRADE characters that the Space Wolves codex has given us. They are not meant to carry a squad, they are not meant to lead and army. They are meant to UPGRADE a squads capabilities while adding the herohammer aspect to your army. Wysten
Because he costs nearly a squad of Grey Hunters, and are only useable in Blood Claws, the least used troops choice in the codex that probably needs a land raider to have any concept of speed. It's not that Lukas is bad, it's just the unit he is with is where he's not useful. Give him a jet pack and a bike and he would be cool with Skyclaws and Swift Claws respectively, just in a unit like Blood Claws, they already require a lot to be useful, Lukas does not solve any of their problems or make them that much better in combat in the same way a Wolf Priest can. Though it would be amusing to give him a small 4 man vanguard of blood claws and have him just sit in the Rhino, following the other guys and breaking them out of tricky situations. Now if they premoted him to wolf guard just because Rengar wanted a laugh, that could be pretty fun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214373-lukas/#findComment-2551967 Share on other sites
