Bergtorp
I've been working on my own special Skyclaws with Valkyries in mind. Not entirely finished, have to do the bases. What do you think? My entire squad of Skyclaws. Sorry for the light. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0885.jpg "Ordinary" Skyclaw. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0886.jpg Jump pack and wings. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0887.jpg "Ordinary" Skyclaw. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0888.jpg Right shoulder pad. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0889.jpg Packleader. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0890.jpg Packleader. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0891.jpg Packleader. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0892.jpg "Ordinary" Skyclaw. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0893.jpg "Ordinary" Skyclaw. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0894.jpg Mark of the Wulfen. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0896.jpg Mark of the Wulfen. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i202/Bergtorp/DSC_0897.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214532-sw-valkyries/ Share on other sites

Bergtorp
Plastic rod, a pair frostaxes from SW pack and a sword from DA pack. Cut up, drill, glue together and do your best to get it straight. Warsmith Aznable
Personally, and this is just me, I think the wings just don't work for Space Wolves. Valkyries are chicks, and being a chick is decidedly unmanly. But I don't know much about Space Wolf details, so the wings might be canon for all I know. It just doesn't look right to me. That being said, these are really nicely done. The painting and conversion work is far and away better than anything I can manage, and I seriously thought those spears were something from the Blood Angel sprue, wouldn't have guessed you made them yourself. Snozz
Those look truly awesome, the spears are really well done. The one thing I dislike is the idea of fielding them as WS3 Skyclaws. For me, they look far too ornate and just plain amazing to field as Skyclaws. I'd suggest going with a ridiculously overpriced unit of Wolf Guard with jump packs and frost blades ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214532-sw-valkyries/#findComment-2554640 Share on other sites
Firepower
I have to concur that the wings seem a bit off on SW, largely because Valkyries are indeed women. Now, some properly converted SoB's with wings...that's a Valkyrie. Probably a royal pain too, given the uncooperative nature of metal models and all :) Nothing wrong with the execution mind you, it's still quality work. I'm just not really sold on the basis is all :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214532-sw-valkyries/#findComment-2555148 Share on other sites
