winterdyne
Today I started my next commission, a single character for the RPG 'Deathwatch'. I was going to have the marine kneeling, but this would have blocked too much of the space hulk style base the client asked for. From sprue to this, around 7 hours, including sculpting: http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/curtis/deathwatch_wip1.jpg
Montuhotep
Most impressive - nice pose and the shoulderpad sculpting is very well done - idea shamelessly nicked.
General Ravensong
Looks great, though I do question the wisdom of handling expensive technology with a powerfist. Unless the buttons are particularly sticky.
Brother Nihm
He needs more chains. Great work though! ^_^
Epistolary_Kalphanian
Not templar enough for my liking- and no deathwatch bolter?!?!?! Pardon me whilst I go take something for heart palpitations. Nice work nonetheless though, digging the base :D
Firepower
I am a bit concerned about the Auspex in the P. Fist as well. That thing must have huge buttons. More chains would indeed probably help distinguish him as a Templar. I don't think they keep all the heraldry/scripture on their armor when in the Deathwatch (would look kind of confusing anyway) so the Templar-ish visuals range is a bit limited ;)
winterdyne
I am a bit concerned about the Auspex in the P. Fist as well. That thing must have huge buttons. Yeah, it does. Full on Fisher-Price Auspex. As for the chains, I don't think I can add them without taking away from the Deathwatch feel and making it too Templar. The helm and the paintjob will have to do... agroszkiewicz
I'm straight envious of your GSing ability.
winterdyne
Thought I'd try some OSL to liven up the black. I reckon it's worked OK. This is done, unless the client has anything else to request... http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/curtis/deathwatch_done1.jpg
Brother Nihm
See now that turned out really well. I do think it would look even better if you took the green hue up a notch (warmer). But it is great already, so better leave it at that. :)
Epistolary_Kalphanian
I'm really liking how it turned out. Kudos.
