Sepsis the Unclean
It’s been a while since I posted anything up on this site, mainly as I’ve been busy scenery building…But I have recently found some time to reinforce my chaos legions:– Some of my World Eaters Had a nightmare with these as I only went & bought the forge world chainaxes – biggest waste of money ever, 1st time I used them in a game I snapped 6 of my 10 axes, resin eh…they have since been replaced with GW weapons, apart from Zhufor’s axe which is still ripping loyalist marines apart (must be blessed by the blood god!) Talking of ripping loyalists apart my Daemon Prince has proved to be a right hard beast, mainly tearing through my brothers Blood Angel’s – which I like to take a trophy or two from, check the Power Fist Berzerker out ;-) http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1701.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1692.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1684.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1715.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1717.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1719.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1725.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1727.jpg Some of my Iron Warriors In fact this is all of my finished Iron Warriors that I have so far…They are my latest project as I just had to buy the FW Iron/Crusade/Heresy armour. I have painted them up pretty ‘grubby’ looking, as I reckon after 10,000 years of war their power armour may not be so polished & bright! http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1697.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1696.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1700.jpg Will post some more IW as soon as I have a few more done. Some of my Death Guard As some of you may know I had 1500 points worth of Death Guard (which are now currently being ebayed if anyone is interested), but some time ago I decided to go for a more corroded look to the way I used to paint them, here are some of the results. http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1705.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1704.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1709.jpg C & C as always are welcome
agroszkiewicz
I like the finish on those guys. The gore on your world eaters is really vibrant. +++ Would you mind telling how you got the weathering on that Death Guard Rhino to look so nice? The gore on your world eaters is really vibrant. +++ Would you mind telling how you got the weathering on that Death Guard Rhino to look so nice? Firstly agroszkiewicz, cheers for looking & of course i don't mind sharing my weathering techniques. The mud & dirt are FW weathering powders, 'dry mud' & 'light earth' - sprinkled on randomly, with white spirits airbrushed over them to make them blend about a bit. Similar technique on the metal parts - only this time FW 'orange rust' weathering powder mixed with scorched brown to basecoat, dry brush boltgun metal, then chainmail, a tiny bit more FW orange rust weathering powder was sprinkled on & then finally I applied burnt umber oil paint mixed with lots of thinner (white spirits) to blend every thing together. Any paint chips were just 'sponged on' using charadon granite. Just gotta make sure you matt varnish everything at the end. All of this is in Imperial Armour Model Masterclass, by Forge world... which I know is £26 notes, but has been the best £26 I have ever spent. Definetly reccommend it. I take it that's revenge because my chaplain has a berzeker head on it now!! Fair do's first time I've seen the Iron Warriors, very gritty looking :P got to say though, and despite being on the recieving end of one of his charges, the Daemon Prince is my fave, looks plain EVIL :P You put a lot of hard work (and talent) into your mini's and it shows mate. How'd you paint that yellow on the Iron Warriors if I may ask? Thanks for the comments Scrap-meister, and as for the IW yellow, a few coats of bubonic brown, then highlight 1:1 bubonic brown & Bleached bone, wash with ogryn flesh, when dry wash with sepia. Then again highlight with 1:1 bubonic brown & Bleached bone...and finally highlight with pure Bleached bone. Hope that helps mate.

Sepsis the Unclean
WOW! What can i say that hasnt already been said. Those minis are amazing. My favourites have to be those belonging to Khorne, the Daemon Prince especially. What parts did you use to make him? Well i had a metal daemon prince bought for me a while back, and i also had the khorne prince from FW. So just took the head, arms and skulls off the FW prince and converted them onto the metal princes torso/legs. All that was left then was to trim some Bloodthirster wings and pin them. Base is bitz from cities of death kit, with the impaled dude again being from the khorne prince kit. Hope this answers your question mate.

Sepsis the Unclean
Time for an update, and no, its not how much my waist size has gone up after all those xmas mince pies! Its this Iron Warriors Vindicator, which I have just finshed the last brush stoke on today. I have tried to keep with the theme, IW - been slogging around trenches for millenia, so I have went for a mucky / corroded feel to the tank. Hope you like it & here are some pic's:- http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1885.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1889.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1891.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/chkj83/2010%20chaos%20space%20marines/DSCF1892.jpg & as always C & C would be welcomed. MagicMan
Very nice tank dude. Only critique really is that the sides look a little bare, some yellow/black hazard markings might help break up the big expanse of bronze, but thats probably a personal taste issue. Great work! Cheers for looking MagicMan. This is one of two vindicator tanks in my army list (yet to start my 2nd) & this is a good suggestion of yours, so I will definetly give a bit more colour to the sides of my 2nd tank, maybe some hazard markings under the IW icon eh. MagicMan
Hah well its up to you of course. I just think it'd look nice, as it looks really good on the front of the Vindicator. The weatherings good though, especially liking the soot around the exhaust pipes.

Midnightmare
Mate that turned out really well! Sorry, I mean feakin' awesomely well!! I wouldn't go crazy on the hazard stripes on your second, maybe just under the IW symbol as you said, you want them both to look 'alike but different' <_<
