Tanhausen
Wolves have a nasty effect... decent players get GOOD results, but GOOD players simply roll over most of the other builds. It is VERY frustrating when your all comers list that at least gives you a chance vs 80% of the builds... and then you get wolves who 80% of the time simply its a matter of how many ML (I've faced 31!!!!) pound you per turn. Again, I'd consider myself only as a decent player (6/10) and I carry a suboptimal codex so...don't know how helpful the comment is! Funny thing is that my all comers list has one unit of Long Fangs that I sometimes attach a CML Wolf Guard pack leader. The strength in my builds come from my Grey Hunter packs in close support of eachother. They rack up several times their value in points every game AND fulfill their primary mission of capturing and controlling objectives if that is the mission. Sven Dragonfire
Thats a real shame Brother, your local club should be your sanctuary away from the boring back stabbing bitching of every day life. We had a one day tourny a while back and one guy turned up with a bucket load of models and NO written army list, he won all his games surprisingly enough! lol, he became the challenge of the day , noone realy bitched much, and we laughed about it for much of the day. ( hes not usually allowed out without supervision and we have to make sure he has no sharp objects) Hell he had a great dayout! I used my wolves and no one was fazzed or gave me any grief, noone cared what was in my list and I never cared what was in theirs, the harder the opposition the better. I had some great games only lost once to a Tau player who whooped my butt ( first time i had even seen a Tau army on the board) he slowly retreated his army into a foot square corner of the board to avoid close combat , and the game ended just as I made contact. lol I cant wait to play the guy again and see if I can improve my performance . What about playing some doubles, builds bridges and lets people see armies from another perspective. Always good fun. Spacefrisian
One trick ponies never seem to understand that playing the same army over and over again makes their opponent adapt to their armies. Wouldnt mind them to much. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214686-sw-and-lgs/page/2/#findComment-2561049 Share on other sites
