Bergelmir
Hi there, I have a really newbie question! What cases can I get to transport my Space Wolves army? Could I possibly construct my own carry case? I was thinking of getting one of those boxes that musicians carry their instruments in and emblazoning it with Chapter markings. Miniatures to be transported: - 3 Rhinos - 2 Vindicators - 1 Land Raider Crusader - 1 Logan Grimnar - 1 Njal Stormcaller - 1 Canis Wolfborn - 1 Venerable Dreadnought - 1 Drop Pod - 5 AOBR Terminators - 5 Wolf Scouts - 37 Power Armour Space Wolves - 4 Warhammer Fantasy Goblin Wolves Thanks for looking! Hfran Morkai
reminds me of the movie Desperado "so whats in the case? oh just my guitar" anyway, the answer is Battlefoam Yeah, Battlefoam is awesome. You can get trays for just about every model precut meaning it's more secure than pick and pluck foam. They offer some huge cases as well. They don't come cheap to be fair but the protection they offer is pretty insane, I believe they do a five foot (or is it metre?) drop test to ensure models survive. Mr. Danvers
Hey Bergelmir. Welcome to The Fang! I got myself a 1520 from Battlefoam and it holds my entire wolves collection with some spare room still. The 432 is fine for 1500 lists if you want something smaller. Its just the shipping costs out of the US that can be a little prohibitive. I got mine in a Black Friday sale (Black Friday is right isn't it?) where it had free shipping. Where are you based? There's a new way to get battlefoam over here in the UK as Wayland Games make the shipping costs a lot cheaper as they just cut a deal with Battlefoam when the guys were over here from the US. WG Vrox
Battlefoam review I use a fishing tackle box and put cut and folded pieces of paper tower inside the squars where the fisihing luress would go. The top holds my tanks and transports, Its a 4 tray box and I only use the top 2 trays, while my Land Raider goes in the space where the 2 bottom trays would go. I put my bigger models such at Terminators and Bikes in a box next to the land raider. Much cheaper option and works out pretty good, but if I had to travel by plane with my minis I would make the investment into battlefoam.
