Gitsplitta
A friend of mine did that (if it's the figure I'm thinking of). Nice bit 'o improvisation I thought.
Ravenfeld
New rules for Redth - I now demand you add him to your army! He is far too good to not be used. Divination and he can give a Dev squad Interceptor and Night Vision! Come on man - thats some solid stuff right there!
Gitsplitta
Funny you should mention that... I just printed out the latest IA update for the MW. I've been thinking about doing Redth for a long time now... just haven't found the figure (or the bits) that seemed to do him justice.
Iron Father Ferrum
I'd use the DV Librarian, personally. He's got the proper gear (ie, a sword) and is a much better looking model than any other sword-armed Libby model GW has ever released. All it'll take to convert him is to clean the winged sword icons off of one pauldron and his chest; it's not too hard, I did it to use my model for my Iron Hands. TheForgottenAngel
These are fantastic, as we speak however a great friend of mine is working on some Minotaurs for me, their bases are adorned with Mantis Warriors. After seeing your beautifully painted army I couldn't resist. Mantis Warriors are such a cool looking army.
Gitsplitta
@DEF: DV? (sorry, I'm a bit thick tonight) @C_Web: Only thing better would be to see Mantis Warriors standing up! But... it's a delight to see them any way they come. ;) Feel free to post a pic here, it's perfectly OK with me.

Gitsplitta
Thanks, that's the new GW special effects paint. Takes some getting used to... but in the end it turns out OK.
Kierdale
Excellent work! The patina is very good. I bought that paint but haven't used it yet. Any hints on how best to apply it? Good weathering too. The light edge to where the paint has chipped off really works.
Gitsplitta
It's weird... too thick for a wash. You paint it on, then dry-brush the base color (in this case, a couple of bronzy shades) back over the top. I always end up panicking a bit and going over the blue with water just to thin it a bit, but apparently... thinning the blue before you apply it does not work particularly well. So.... base coat, blue, dry-brush.
