Malthe
I'm surprised to see those three as the finalist, never would have figured that... Though if all the people how preferred different schemes elected not to vote because they made an entry themselves I guess it shouldn't be very surprising :cuss I kinda like one of them, figure I better vote for it! I think it was only Ecritter who chose not to vote. Although I'm boldly making this claim without any actual evidence one way or the other. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/214941-winter-2010-community-diy-challenge/page/6/#findComment-2578318 Share on other sites
Ecritter
I did not, and do not, vote when I have an entry in the challenge. I did vote this last time, since my entry did not pass through to second round. Octavulg
So? That's the point of having a tie-breaker. The people whose choices are gone get to vote, too. Brother Tyler
And our winner is the split green & black scheme submitted by elohimalpha. As such, elohimalpha is entitled to join Brother Cambrius in displaying the below banner in his signature (though the standard 350x100 pixel signature image area must still be observed): [img=http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads/1290546215/gallery_26_4045_2540.gif] Our other participants were: Ace Debonair AngryJohnny Brother Cambrius Brother Melice Chapter Master Ignis Domus Codex Grey Ecritter Ferrus Manus Hubernator Malthe NightrawenII The Normish Octavulg Shinzaren Each of them is entitled to display the below banner in their signatures: [img=http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads/1290546215/gallery_26_4045_1095.gif] If you're wondering who submitted what scheme, the numbers were assigned in alphabetical order by member name, so just go 1-15 down the line (don't forget to include elohimalpha as #8). Element 3 will be up in a separate post since this one will be done by poll rather than submission. Brother Cambrius
Congrats elohimalpha. :tu: Mine almost got there being one of the final three but I found the chosen one to be far better. Great effort by all who participated. Heru
Really... the worst of the three won? :) I mean sure it would have been good (in my opinion), if it didn't have the follow issues: 1. Alternate colour knee pads. 2. Alternate colour shoulder pad trims. 3. The back pack isn't halved (this one is the worst, as it breaks the halved scheme). Ah well, I didn't vote anyways (I'm not having anything proper to do with this "community" challenge). Edit: Added the bracketed bit on number 3. Ferrata
Heru, I would suggest you think about how you respond to these posts. There worst of the three won in your opinion - obviously it wasn't the worst of the three in the opinion of the community. elohimalpha
Thanks guys! I'm just glad I didn't have to submit a painted model too - gonna be a bear to paint! And Heru, well, I'm sure there's some sort of saying about not pleasing everyone that applies here, but that aside, you can't be too upset if you didn't even participate... On to the next challenge! Hubernator
Heru, I would suggest you think about how you respond to these posts. There worst of the three won in your opinion - obviously it wasn't the worst of the three in the opinion of the community. Granted. However I'm inclined to agree with Heru - this one picked is not the best. But, as the community wishes, it won. Congrats to elohimalpha, but I personally didn't like it (nor the others that were finalised) and as such, I didn't vote for any of them. Ecritter
Whether you liked the scheme or not is not at issue, its poor sportsmanship. The scheme was picked by a majority of votes, so the group must have thought it was the best. And since this is a group project ... we must abide by the majority rule. I entered the best idea in both challenges so far, my opinion of course and highly biased, but I lost and you don't hear me complaining ... well maybe a little but its all in jest. :D Congrats elohimalpha on having the best color scheme.
