[Little Lost Swordsman]

Well, after watching what has been posted on these boards I have decided to contribute my own humble projects. As such here they are.

These are all very work in progress, and as I am a student, working, and otherwise very busy, I will try to update as I can, but no promises on how fast I do things. Comments and criticism very welcome, and thank you for looking.

Here are a few images of what I was working on. Still haven't come up with a name for the chapter, but I want to make it a hybrid of the Space Wolves and the Black Templars.

He's going to be a leader in my chapter. At this point I am going to call him Malek with Arms Soaked Red, Chaplain of the company. The axe is pieced together from two Templar power axes, the legs are from a Grey Knight terminator that a friend of mine cut in half. I need to work a little on getting the faulds to attach better to the belt.

He is in the process of becoming a terminator. Terminator parts form the basis, and you can see the starting of the green stuff work that I'm doing. Haven't come up with a name for this guy yet, but I do know that he is going to get an assault cannon and a chain fist. He's actually he most fun piece to work on right now.

 

I'll work on taking better pictures.

Malek just needs a head (I recently purchased some of the black templar crusader helms off of ebay, think it will look good) and a backpack, and he will be ready for adornments and painting. Not sure what all to put on a one armed chaplain carrying a large axe.

Hurn With a Shirt of Scars stalked forward through the ruins of the citadel, a grenade in one fist, his bolter nearly spent in the other. His squad was behind him when he heard the shuffling of feet ahead. Tossing his grenade forward he waited for the blast and charged, gun firing. . .

posing the right arm correctly was a huge pain, and yes, he has no buckle for his belt. I made a mistake, but the bolter will cover it nicely.

I'm not thrilled with how this guy is coming out, but I figure it's not terrible for my first attempt at making a true scaled terminator.

Decado Whose Breath Smells of Killing was always given a wide berth by his brethren. Never part of the comradeship that his brothers shared, he was thought of as a psychopath who was held in check only by the strict discipline of the chapter. However, despite the misgivings of his brethren, they were always happy to have him on the battlefield, as his lightning reflexes and incredible skills ensured that he reaped a large toll on the foe.

That comes from a combination of Decado from the Drenai series by David Gemmell and the flavor text from the video game myth. And thank you for the compliment, i always appreciate when someone says they like what I've made.

But there were two Decado's in the Drenai books :D

I was initially thinking of making a guy based off of Decado Firefist, but I thought he would have to be a leader in the army. I haven't completely written that idea off, but I totally ripped the description of my Decado from King Beyond the Gate where Tenaka Khan is trying to figure out who left the fire wood behind in the Dragon barracks, so this guy got based off of the Ice Killer. I always liked the description of him wandering the world looking for a good fight before he found the Thirty.

And before I scamper off to take my secured transactions final here are a couple of his brethren who are nervous around the psychopath.

The green stuff is actually a lot smoother than it looks, it just gets that light color when I sand it down for some reason.

Getting close to finishing the modeling of a squad, so without further ado, I give you Squad Barus, the Crusaders.

From left to right they are Barus With Burning Steel, Laertes the Undying, Hurn With a Shirt of Scars, Karnak Slayer of Kings, and Gower Drinker of Poisons.

Another True Scaler! Lovely work, theyre looking great, although a couple have what I like to call 'Thunder Thighs' :D

Well, some marines have cellulite, right? ;) I hate how skinny the gw models are, so I try to make mine rather heavy. Oh, and thank you for the compliments!

I want to make enough that I can quit proxying stuff when I play, and I want adequate amounts for an apocalypse game. I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. . . then again I have plenty of support vehicles to fall back on if necessary. For the moment though, I am in another state away from my stuff and get the joy of babysitting my 2 year old niece. So not ready for children/responsibility.
