LiuZhangYu
This might sound crazy but I think our swift claws should be able to stick melta bombs onto MCs because of their size, using rules for assaulting a tank with bombs because our wolves are just that extreme :D (also, please don't shoot me down, just a playful idea :P ) Is this too overpowered for in game balance? Well, there was that previous codex marine rule that allowed some marine units to use krak grenades for MC hunting, so why not? But that would be like hitting on 6 or something like that. Grey Mage
It was a specific thing for Tyranic War Veterans to show the time spent literally ripping hive ships apart from the inside out. Could be a fun rule for a nid campaign, but otherwise dont count on it :P. If your buddies are up for it the rules are in the 4rth ed C:SM. That rule always made me chuckle as I imagined those Vets trying to stick the grenade to a rather angry Hive Tyrant...good times. Sven Dragonfire
Thats a realy good comment. You can use a melta bomb against a dreadnaught while its trying to smash your skull in, so why not a MC. I remember some old blurb where Ragnar fights a carnifex and he sticks a grenade into its maw and pushes away with his feet and is then covered in ichor in the resulting blast. Stuff of Legends. I may suggest this to my gaming group though as many use Nids or Deamon princes I dont think they will go for it! Love the idea though. I assume (so probably wrong) that a Meltabomb typically usesa magnetic clamp in order to attach to the surface it's meant to vaporize, and Monstorus Creatures aren't normally made of metal. Krak Grenades maybe (I'm not sure again how they attach). Would be fun though, I miss that rule. However I'm sure I've read a short story somewhere - might have been one of the Eisenhorn/Ravenor ones where a grenade is mentioned stuck to something and it's some kind of sticky substance on the grenade that makes it adhere to the surface it's intended to destroy. I might be wrong though. Either way, it's sci-fi, so it could be anything you want it to be! Sven Dragonfire
Who needs sticky when you can use your power armoured arm to ram it down your opponents throat, metaphorically speaking , not the poor guy accross the table whos just trying to play a game of toy soldiers.lol. Yeah its sci fi , make it up as you go along, as long as your opponent agrees and hes not choking coz hes got a melta bomb in his throat. Some people do get carried away!
