Ashdown
About 80% of this is airbrushed with only the small details hand brushed. CC much needed, this is my first try at seriously applying lighting effects etc that I have learned from reading the articles on B&C. I still have to put the maltese cross on, I am musing over the traditional look or perhaps something more WWII looking. Muller
I don't see the OSL on this model I'm afraid, you seem scared to try going for extreme colours in your OSL (all the way up to white). Also, the colors does look thick, I don't know if it's the lighting or not but in my experience an airbrush is the easiest of ways to keep a model from being thick with paint, I suggest practicing more with it. And a final thing, the thing that immediately strikes me the most; you don't really work with either shades nor highlights, this makes the model very "flat" and uninteresting, a simple wash or two would significatly change that. Thank you for the tips... I don't think my camera is doing it much justice. I wanted something really dark since my army is all black so I did a base coat black with a really watered down bright red and did about 10 layers. I then did a dark red wash over it followed with some bright red for the zenthial lighting. I may have over done the dullcote some which gives it the flat look. Ill try and hit it up with some brighter colours to strengthen the effect. Thanks again for the CC.
