Very interesting game/combat.

interesting combat this weekend. I played someone I've never seen before at our LGS rocking BA. I figured he'd be a push over and he really wanted to get a game in so I accepted and brought 1 of my experimental stormraven lists. Everythings going great, both stormravens are in his deployment zone right in the center of his horde BA(he only had 2 vehicles) when he pops the stormraven with my 10 man RAS with priest. So now I have 11 dudes surrounded by 60-70 blood angels...what do you do.

I talk trash. I tell him there is no way your gonna finish me off. he replies back you're crazy. I tell him it takes 24ish bolter shots to kill 1 BA space marine with FNP so bring it on. At the end of combat I lose by 2 and make my leadership with the priest who is the only survivor. He had a few power swords, a hammer, and a fist which killed the ten guys. Of all the non power weapons he did zero wounds. He was floored and I was a little too that he'd be tied up in combat with half his army surrounding 1 guy. WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?

Simple. The lightning claw termies with termy priest get out of the other stormraven killing more than double their number and forcing 1 suad of jump pack marine to flee off the table. Eventually those 6 termies killed half his army. I just wish I had a chaplain in the squad because they missed a tone of swings.

What's the craziest thing your squad has done?

That game sounds like it would have been great fun to watch. Here's my thing. True story.

Two squads of His noble Terminators stood proud over the battlefield, their armor resplendent in seals of purity and honors won in battles long since fought. Before them were the Orks. Their savage calls to their false Gods echoed through the streets of the once proud city. As one, these 10 warriors raised great adamantine arms and released volley after volley of holy judgement upon their foe. Scores of greenskins fell before these mighty heroes but still they came. And then, when all seemed lost and the distance grew closer, the skies blackened and the ground trembled. A blinding aura enveloped the ten Champions of the Imperium and a hymn that seemed to grow louder with every greenskin slain could be heard across the entire battlefield. They raise their fists high, the earth cracking beneath their feet, bolts of lighting striking all around them and the sound of valkyries crying from the dark roiling skies caused many orks to pause, as they summoned the great power of Odin. There was a tremendous thunderclap as His unfathomable righteous fury was channeled through his Avatars of war. And with a furious anger they unleashed His wrath upon the greenskins. Every ork was reduced to ash. And at the end of the great battle only His sons remained.

Any game I've used Mephy in really ... lol

I was playing a Bike SM army w/ triple vindys. I basically sent 1500 points of mech (1750 game - which is the only time I think of Mephy, as he's a clean 250 to add to my 1500) after the vindys and land speeders, and Mephy cleaned off the squads of bikes solo. Of the 3 wounds he took, 2 of them were his own plasma pistol. That did make me laugh, and watching Meph run his captain off the table in the final turn to just finish the humilation. It was literally Meph on the far side of the board, and his nearest support was about 50" away.
