" Listen Now Demonkin" Spoke Proudboast his every word spoken with the fury of the wounded bear. " I have slain Daemon and Dragon, Giant and troll, man and hero. And you are as nothing compared to the things I have laid low in my time" At this the pink decayed mass of flesh at Proudboasts feet merely squirmed and hissed at him. The Daemon Prince Skaladrax the Mighty, was already dissolving under his feet. You have taken my eye and delt fell wounds to some of my brothers" Spoke Proudboast, " But you will never take our deeds, our triumphs and our history for you may rend our flesh, but you cannot take the fury in our hearts or the strength of our will". And with that Proudboast dug his Wolf Claw into the slavering lumps center and watched it dissolve into nothingness...

 

" Some Battle, Russ would be proud" Spoke Arnus The Stout. " Aye dreadnaught" spoke Proudboast looking at the massive bulk of the Stout and all the history and knowledge his metal frame contained. " I will be the greatest Wolf Lord of them all, greater than all who have come and will come, my deeds already reach the stars". Be wary of making such claims brother, for they usually only make for bad times." Proudboast felt a sneer reach his lips." When I want advice I shall ask for it." Arnus merely laughed, his armored bulk shivering and gyrating, and then he lumbered away back to honor his brothers.

 

That eve upon the Battle Barge The Silent Wolf there was much drinking and celebrating for indeed a mighty victory had been won. By rune Priest Skalli's estimations the 273rd Victory won By proudboast, a high tally indeed. In the 37th millennium no other wolf lord came close. After a while the men began to slumber, drink tiredness overcoming them. It was in this slumber Proudboast had a dream....

The first thing he noticed upon awakening was Rune Priest Skallis headless corpse laying upon the round. " Weapons!!" Roared Proudboast. At this his company began to gather thier arms and armor. " By Russ Wolf Lord!" Shouted a young bloodclaw that looked familiar but who's name he could not place." Look at yourself!". " By Russ" Spoke Proudboast as he looked in the mirror gone was his beard and scars, his Grey hair was now red, and he bore no long fangs, fangs he had earned in his journey, he was himself as an aspirant. " No........ this must be a dream..what fell magic has done this.." All of his company were but bloodclaws now, himself included....But he knew someone who could help him.

 

" Arnus, you must know what has happened!" Cried out Proudboast." Tell me what has befallen us! "Foul Magicks, The kind which I have never seen young Wolflord" Spoke the Dreadnaught. " I have checked the records of this ship, and our entire History has been erased, our deeds were never recorded. Luckily me and my two brother Dreadnaughts were left unaffected, so we must be as the wolf" spoke Arnus. " We must adapt, our story is lost to us, but we can still forge a new one, Like the Wolf, we must adapt or fall from the stars."

 

" I will need your advice..." Spoke Proudboast, as he walked away from the Arnus, The Voice Still ringing in his head.

 

" Dont be so sure of what I can do Proudboast, for your vanity, as you shall see, has undone you" .............

This list seems fun and hard to play, and Im sure Ill lose! But the main strategy is to advance with my two packs of 15 with the dreads using saga of majesty to support them......the rest I have no damn idea

Why not,,, nice fluff and a very challenging list to play indeed.

 

I would suggest that you give Bjorn a plasma cannon and find the points to give the attack bike a MM, your going to have a hard time as it is with any type of armor, at least with this you have a chance to pop the bigger stuff.

Maybe I could drop a biker and get a ML AC loadout on my regular dread? Or maybe add melta bombs to the bikers? Any C and C would be helpful.

Wouldnt having Lukas count as your lord be a disadvantage? The unit's leadership can only ever be 8 with him. I realize as he is not an IC, he cant be targetted and then the pelt helps him when he can, so that could be good, but for the Same price you could get a WGBL w/ PP and WC with +1 LD and still have 35 points to play with. You would lose one attack on the charge, but he could take Warrior Born and maybe gain plenty more in the subsequent rounds. Plus now you have a 16 strong BC pack who can fire before they charge.

Thats Some Good Advice, I dropped Lucas and Added a WGBL with a Claw and Storm Shield. With the 20 Points left over, I put a Missle Launcher and Autocannon on the regular dread, giving me some amount of Fire support.

 

Also I have never really used skyclaws so I dont know if they will suffer from not having an IC with them, Maybe give the WGBL a Jump Pack? Hmm any help with Skyclaws would be apreciated <_<

 

Also I gave Bjorn the Plasma Cannon ;) We shall see how it goes

I too was also questioning the choice of Lukas.

 

Awesome idea btw.

 

One thing that I would consider, is that even among Blood Claws there are some that are born to lead. Look at the story of Ragnar told throughout the Space Wolf Omnibus. The Blood Claw pack were his to lead, as a Blood Claw, with the exception of times they were led specifically by a higher ranking Space Wolf.

 

So based on that, how about one unit of 3 Wolf Guard to be the leading, "Blood Claw" of the two Troops and one for the bikes. It would show that even in Blood Claw packs there is still going to be an Alpha packmate that does lead. This will allow for the tempering of the Headstrong rule as well.

I forgot to add that yes, giving the WGBL a jump pack and attaching him to the Sky Claws would represent a Blood Claw leading from the front yet still crazy enough to strap a jet to his back.
