Eenami5 Posted November 16, 2010 Share Posted November 16, 2010 If you catch and destroy your opponent with a Sweeping Advance, do you move the number of inches it would have taken to catch up to the losing squad, then take your consolidation move, or just take the consolidation move from where the combat was taking place? The D6 + Initiative roll only determines whether you catch the enemy unit before they can get away. The unit only moves the D6" consolidation move. thade Posted November 16, 2010 Share Posted November 16, 2010 Leg is correct: in 40k you check for Sweeping Advance before the fleeing unit gets to move at all (if they get to move at all). If your unit Sweeps them, they're removed from the table and your victorious unit(s) get to consolidate (provided they are not still locked in combat with another unit) d6".
