Techmarine Andreas
I have have just bought a bunch of parts from both these stores to attemp a special character and honor guard unit, and was wondering if anyone else has used any of these commponents before. What I am planning is as follows: Start with the "Crusader legs" from Micro Art Studios. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk297/M777A2/Conversion%20Parts/CL_Crusaders_Legs.jpg On these I will be putting the "Spartan Torsos" from Scibor Minatures, http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk297/M777A2/Conversion%20Parts/spartans_torso01.jpg along with the "Spartan shoulder pads", also from Scibor. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk297/M777A2/Conversion%20Parts/spartans_shoulders01.jpg Now I am unsure which helmets to use but have a bunch of MK IV Maximus Helmets which I think will look good. But if anyone has suggestions feel free. These guys are going to be close combat specialists and equiped from the weapons in the blood angels deathcompany box. Not sure of exact load out yet, still early days in the planning of this project. These guys will be accompanying this chap also from Scibor who I intend to convert and paint up as a Librarian in Termi Armor with Force Sword and Storm Bolter. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk297/M777A2/Conversion%20Parts/spartan_1p_02.jpg Any thoughts, comments or suggestions greatly appreciated. For reference, here are two pictures: http://www.maxmini.eu/store/images/helmets.jpg http://www.maxmini.eu/store/images/stknght.jpg AFAIK you can even tell the manufacturer which of the five types you want to have. FuriousFerret
just a general comment: open-face helmets seem a bit problematic for soldiers in spaaaaaace. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215218-micro-art-studios-and-scibor-minatures-conversion-parts/#findComment-2564552 Share on other sites
Quixus
just a general comment: wearing no helmet may seem a bit problematic for soldiers in battle  The second and fourth plumed helmets from left look pretty closed to me and for the others one could probably greenstuff a vox amplifier. the steamknight helmets are closed. Techmarine Andreas
Those plumed helemts definitely have potential. Full/Closed face is a must but looks like a little greenstuff will take care of that niicely. I cant believe my google foo for conversion bits didnt lead me to Maxmini this weekend as I was searching for and ordering bits. onipunk
The Crusaders legs from Micro Art Studio are designed specifically for terminators. The Knights legs are designed for power armoured Marines. I guess the fact that the legs are stated as being on a 40mm base should have been a give away that they were for Termies.
