Slyfox1990
Does anyone on this forum do anything other a standard grey/blue paint scheme for their wolves? I love the models ands fluff etc but would rather do something a bit different personally. Wandered if there any other options which are viable/could be explained into the fluff? Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
I had started with Codex Grey as the main color on my wolves, kind of a pre-heresy look. But more recently I have started painting my models with a Fenris Grey base, Enchanted Blue main plates, and ice blue and Space Wolves Grey for highlighting. This is a color scheme of my own design (my wife helped, she is after all the graphic designer...). The other colors I have been using are mithril silver and the other metallic silvers, and then a bit of Blazing Orange and Bleached Bone 1 - 1 mix for knee pads and other accessories. It is fluffless as of now, but damn does it look nice!! I will be posting some photos soon the the sub-forum painting challenge , so I'll put them here too. -R_P_R Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215281-colour-scheme/#findComment-2565010 Share on other sites
Bulldogging
Rogue Trader had images of Space Wolves using camouflage color schemes, so it is fluffy if you want to go that route. http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2009/11/ro...ace-marine.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215281-colour-scheme/#findComment-2565015 Share on other sites

Blitzkrieg861
Mine are mainly bleached bone with enchanted blue shoulders and chest. Personally I don't like the standard grey Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215281-colour-scheme/#findComment-2565389 Share on other sites
Slyfox1990
Ah cool - is nice to see that others stear away from the usual colour scheme as well. I m thinking I ll probably be going for a murky red colour on the armour but not yet decided about the shoulders - probably black to be honest. Ullr Direfang
I think that most people tend to stay away from your basic "space wolf grey" color style. I know a few people still use it but most of the people I know go with darker shades. Alaitoc
This is how I do mine. I think it works! And looks more like most of the artwork than GWs own scheme! jjfelber
I drybrush mine boltgun Metal on a black primer. The GHs, elites, and HQ have dark red shoulder pads and dark red details. The Elites and HQ also have Gold incorporated. All the shoulder pads will have an 'Ard Coat which makes them shine.
