Not very likely, IMO. Not as deep a rivalry between them as with the Dark Angels, but I just dont see a "merging" ever occurring between any chapter, much less including the Space Wolves. The Space Wolves do not follow the Astartes style of structure first off and that would make any kind of assimilation difficult at best.

Perhaps it's just folley but I would recommend spend any future energy in a different endeavor.

A true merging of elements of the Space Wolves and Blood Angels is really a no-go, since these chapters are both first founding chapters that are very explicitly handled by official GW stuff. However, there are plenty of ways that a chapter could end up having some of the character of both of these chapters.

Space Wolf gene seed is never used to found new chapters, so any relation to the Space Wolves would likely be cultural (as in, the chapter recruits from low-technology human stock, has a feral feel to it in some way, and/or has a Northern European or viking type culture) or doctrinal (they use similar combat tactics and fighting styles to the Space Wolves) or both. The chapter could use Blood Angels gene seed, giving them (more than likely) the flaw, some of the Blood Angels' temperament, and a special relationship with the Blood Angels chapter and their second founding chapters, which would likely translate to sharing/inheriting combat doctrines, relics, and so forth.

This could leave you with a Blood Angel successor chapter recruiting from one or more low-tech worlds with Medieval Northern European type culture (or something similar). They would prefer close combat and have a very significant berserker feel about them.

Or you could come up with something else, and just explain that they kind of fight like a Blood Angels and Space Wolves fusion might. It's up to you.

As far as I can se mutch of the problem is that you can't put two gene seeds in one marine. The gene seeds are the "good stuff" that makes a marine a marine.

It is what gives the blood angels the black and red rage, and it is what gives the space wolves big fangs, turns them into wulfen.

As for culture the blood angels are craftmen and bordeline angry emo angel/vampiers. Space Wolve sthey grow up in bitter conflict hearing tales of gods who walk among men, and then they get recruited and suddenly they are gods of war who will forever fight in the name of the allfather.

You could probably have some space wolves and blood angels crash land on a plannet and have to work together but it would be hard to combine it rule vice.

I've never heard this one before. We have all heard of playing a SW chapter as BA and vice versa; but combining the two? Personally, and for reasons already explained above, I don't think it's really feasible and I would not invest a lot of energy in it because I bet you will have problems finding players who except your 'merging ideas' on a rule-gaming level. Which beckons the question - what will you merge rule wise? What advantages and disadvantages would you take in order to balance out. Take all our flexibility & counter-charge as well as SP & FNP? Fast Rhinos? It doesn't sound bad to me, but then what limiting factors are you going to introduce? It is a nightmare in the making. Bury the idea before it drives you into madness and turns you into a Monopoly player.

P.S. Welcome to the Fang!

You could do like a colaberate forces thing.

Throw in an iquesistor or a count as inquesitor and have some recruited/borrowed blood angels and space wolves. Have a lott of death company marines. Use the regular codex. :) But it would look awsome on the field of battle.
