If you do intend to make it a pillar, you might wanna flatten out the tip of the shell to more resemble one. Can't think of many pillars with rounded tips. The color scheme as is doesn't really scream "Fire" in any particular way, and adding some flames might just make them look like Legion of the Damned. Though I'd be reluctant to change anything really, seeing how well it works as is. Just some food for though, your call. Because of their precision I was thinking of maybe the 'Artisans of....', but at the same time I hate it. I hate coming up with names! I've just bought my first Land Speeder and It's about 80% painted, however my camera is playing up so I'll try and get some pictures up when I can. In the meantime I've decided on a name, 'The Legion', and worked out how I want the Chapter to look. I liked the simple name of 'The Legion' because I personally felt it suited the look of the Marines, gritty and ready for war and nothing else. I don't want to create an entire back story at the moment so I'll say that they're similar to the Blood Ravens in the fact that they have no idea which Founding Chapter they're derived from and they do not know much about their history. (This is my first go at writing fluff......even though it's an absolutely tiny amount the point still stands, so please go easy on me!) Ludovic Thanks, yeah that sort of ended as quickly as it started :lol: . I have a tendency to flit bewteen loads of projects and that one just ended. Just a simple drybrush of Chainmail (A VERY dry brush) all over the tank, then painted on scratches and chips with Mithril silver. The mud and dust was just a drybrush of Bestial Brown follwed bye a lighter drybrush of 1:1 Bestial Brown and Bleached Bone <_<, nice and easy. Cool! What about the weathering for the marines (same thing)? How did you do the scratches on the shoulder pads? Thanks, I'm really liking how this is coming along. The weathering for the Marines was basically the same thing, but just with the lighter colours on the bases dusted over and around their feet. The scratches on the shouder pads are just Chaos Black with a bottom highlight of Codex Grey+Skull White.
