lolita23q
hello have a quick question about sanguinary priests in the codex it says: "1-3 SP as a single Elite choice ' so it means that I can take 3 SP as an elite choice (max 9 of in a army) or is each SP an elite selection buy itself as Chaplains??! Gv0zD
In army list section it is said that unit composition is 1 SP, so it means you can take up to 3 SP in your whole army (though 1 of them may be Corbulo).
TheMouth
You can take up to 9. it states that it is 1-3 for one choice...there for you can take up to 9 if you wanted to.
WarpWalker
Just as it says "as a single elite choice". So yeah, you can have 9. And they all count as independent characters.
breng77
However, directly below the Name of the unit in the army list section it says that you can take 1-3 priests as 1 elite choice. It in no way limits how many of those elite choices you can take (though taking more than 3 really takes up a lot of eilite choices.)

Judging by the Sternguard Vets on the same page (where it is said that unit composition is 1 sarge ad 4 vets) I assumed that "1 Sanguinary Priest" relates to one man per "squad", while "up to 3 SP" means we can fill no more than 3 elite slots with SP... Leonaides
And yet that judgement would be wrong. 1-3 SP's may be taken as a single elites choice. You can take up to 3 elites choices. There is no rule that says that you cant have up to 9 SP's if you so choose...

And thanks to lolita23q for bringing this topic, as it was useful for me :D
MadGreek
On a side note, if you take both HQ choices as well, and give both an Honor Guard, your army can actually field up to 11 Sang Priests thanks to the embedded Sang Novitiate in each HG.
