WB Possessed Question

Okay, I purchased a battleforce and I'm at a complete loss as to what color to paint the possessed's flesh. I paint Word Bearers and,while I appreciate it, you don't need to give a step-by-step color scheme.

They're possessed by daemons, dude. Paint them whatever color.

 

But if you're going for a theme, something in stark contrast to the armor would be striking and probably set them apart as much as their mutations. Bright blue.

 

Or perhaps metallic, in gold, to signify that in their possession they are closer to Chaos and closer to their Primarch.

 

Or maybe a scorched red blended with their armor color to represent how it all runs together when they are possessed; material world is fluid in the claws of a daemon.

I used black for the flesh of my WB possessed. I tried to blend the red and black to create a warping/mutating effect. I also used this scheme to paint my DP and my bloodletters(lesser daemons).

I did codex grey with highlights up to white, then washed heavily with red ink, Badab Black wash, and Leviathan purple wash.
