zxyogi
I dig the idea of the Mauler, although I think that it'd be more realistic if it transported 6 marines...I also think that it's armour values should be similar to a Predator. :) Would be great to see it with hurricane bolters! -_- Thanks for the comments! Hurricane bolters is on the project table!! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2598631 Share on other sites

Solid Zaku
It's a good army, the scheme on the tanks is something of a change. My advice would be to work on your yellow, it seems a bit thin, and the black shows through a bit. To be honest, it's the only thing that really 'stands out'. The rest of the painting looks great, and you seem to be on the money as far as technique is concerned. Try using a Foundation for the undercoat instead of trying to go from black straight to yellow. zxyogi
Hello and once again thanks for the kind comments!! ;) Solidzaku...the yellow is supposed to look worn and patchy and in some parts worn almost back to the primer, that you noticed it pleases me!! B) Here are some more Malevolents for you to ponder over..... Chaplain Ezio Assault Squad Osbourne....just 3 of them at the mo. Apothecary Bryant C&C as always welcome!! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2620172 Share on other sites

Hyaenidae
The banner bearer is downright awesome, man. Does the blue eye at the bottom signify anything? brother varen
Great work zxyogi. I would stay away from the blue caseings on weapons only because it draws the attention away from the marine when looking at it. But maybe this is what you want the enemy to do before getting chopped up, lol. Why the armour color change on the Apothecary? Looking to be a great army there zxyogi. Keep up the great work. Zincite
Actually, I kinda like the blue Bolter casings. Makes them look rather heroic ^_^ Why do only two have blue casings? Does it signify status? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2622064 Share on other sites

zxyogi
Jetbikes within the Imperium!? HERESY! But anyway, I really like the bikes, how did you make them? Pre Heresey Marines used Jet bikes.....and My Malevolents still have a few in the Armoury!! :( Didnt make them I bought them from Zealot Miniatures but sorry to say they dont make them anymore!!! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2679261 Share on other sites
Tomlev40
But the only jetbike in the Imperium belongs to the Dark Angels, though they might have a few more. I don't think that they have any jetbikes unless they are very tight knit with the DA. brother varen
Tomlev40, go here to read the developing fluff that we (1000heathens, zxyogi, and I) are making for the Malevolents. http://z11.invisionfree.com/THE_PHALANX/in...p?showtopic=715 Great work brother!! NightHunters
Much respect! These are really great, love the way the speeders and bikes work together as well, much like gunships with escorts, the hunters and the hounds, and I would do most things short of exterminatus to get my hands on some of those bikes! Congrats all round! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2679462 Share on other sites

mega_marines
But the only jetbike in the Imperium belongs to the Dark Angels, though they might have a few more. I don't think that they have any jetbikes unless they are very tight knit with the DA. Actually, this isn't true. The Dark Angels are noted for having one of the last few working jetbikes in the Imperium. This somewhat implies that a few others have some, and even further secluded examples exist, perhaps through discovery/findings, or meticulous care through the ages. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215450-marines-malevolent/page/3/#findComment-2679817 Share on other sites
