brother varen
Great work zxyogi! You have to tell me are the veteran sergeants twins, lol. What are the symbols on the back banners suposed to mean? The bull and the winged symbol? So your crusade company took on the Tau, huh? Nice work with the kroot heads, lol. Lemainus
I love the sergeant from the first batch of pictures that's just standing there in the heat of battle. "I will annihilate you in a moment, heretic. But just for a second bask in how awesome I look just chilling out right now. I am so cool. Okay now we will fight." It's characterful; if you write fluff you should definitely write that guy up as a cocky SOB with a very long killstreak. OR he WAS in fully acceptable battle stance, but a Slaaneshi daemon grew a third tit and he just dropped his arms to ask "Are you bloody serious right now?" Vash113
I love the sergeant from the first batch of pictures that's just standing there in the heat of battle. I believe that is actually Captain Vinyar, judging from the name on his banner. Anyway those are some great looking Marines Malevolent. The yellow does look a bit dirty but that fits with their look and makes them appear gritty and ill-tempered. Excellent job so far and I look forward to seeing more! zxyogi
Hello and thanks for the very kind comments!! ;) Brother Varen....twins?...... ......kept looking at those heads and in the end i decided they dont fit in with my Malevolents theme of being BAD Boys.....crops cuts all the way!! So here is what I have done......... What do you think?.....Better? C&C welcome....as always.....and always taken in!!
brother varen
Zxyogi, I meant no disrespect, but you used the same weapons layout and the same head and just painted the bolter different colors. So i ask if they were twins, lol. Could have been intresting writting fluff for them. Now you go with the same approach with a head which is somewhat identical but has a boinic eye on opposite sides of the head. I didn't care what head you were using, i just wanted to know what your reasoning was to do it. Is there any reason or fluff for the symbols used on their banners? What do the symbols represent? I'm trying to understand if you are themeing your army or just building it. They look very good no matter what head you use, lol. By the way i plan on using some Space Wolf heads too, lol. Any way i know that heads are limited for space marines, especialy if we are trying to theme our armies. I am looking for other head alternates myself, just so i can brake up identical twins, lol. How comes the reinforcements?

How comes the reinforcements? Brother Varen no offence taken my Friend!! The Heads were different but very similar...both sporting spiffing tashes Ol bean!! Them there bionics are not bionics....they are special optical aids for combat which are fixed to the helms. These Company Sergeants are up and down the front line being in places where the Chaplain is not, praising the Marines and leading from the front [you seen the film "We were Soldiers" and the Sergeant that just strolled about the field in the middle of combat urging his boys on...these are the same sort of heroes!]. Reinforcements?....Just started an Assault squad but keep eyeing up my Redeemer and Landspeeders...... :D The symbols on the banners, the Bull is the 5th Companys Crusade badge and the other symbol is a badge of office. brother varen
I know those vehicles tend to say, "Destroy the enemies of the Emperor", lol. You got a good pace going on getting them done though. The badge of office symbol, can we get a better look at it? Also what office does it represent, sergeant or veteran? I saw the movie "We were Soliders". It is a very good movie and very close to my heart for good reasons. I was with the 101st Airbourne and we did alot of those manuvers with the helicopters. The sergeants, what squads are they leading?
