number6
There used to be, but no longer. In all honesty, SM Sternguard Veterans have just about everything that the old "official" Deathwatch Kill Team rules used to provide. All that is really missing are suspensors. On the other hand, there are a couple of new special ammo options in the Sternguard, and being part of an entire army force organization chart, Sternguard are, overall, a better unit. Many people wanting to run a Deathwatch "army" take Pedro Kantor as an HQ and go from there. Validar
I had a mate that did a deathwatch army using two scout units as inquisitorial troopers (one with shotguns and a Storm, one with snipers and count-as Telion). It seemed to fit the theme quite well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215484-deathwatch/#findComment-2567856 Share on other sites
Talon Darkshade
Looking over alot of the rumor mongering over on Warseer and Blood of Kittens I think the new Grey Knights codex will be a good counts as for Deathwatch. Low model count of highly effective spacemarines with Inquistion elements for flavor and flare. Some have argued that the Psychic abilities of the dex and force weapon options of GKs makes it to much of a stretch for Deathwatch. I personnally see no issue with each GK squad leader being modeled as a librarian esk to represent these table effects. I for one hope it works out so that my Deathwatch models can see the table again and get the 3" layer of dust off them. Captain Juan Juarez
As stated in the title, are there any official deathwatch rules? There are various places to hunt out old rules as printed in WD, I may even have a copy I can provide for the small fee of the soul of your firstborn. If you want to include a unit for aesthetic purposes, black-up some Sternguard - as mentioned they most closely fit the current fluff (except maybe C:SW Wolf Guard Packs, with the ability to totally customise weaponry!). DarKHaZZ13
As stated in the title, are there any official deathwatch rules? There are various places to hunt out old rules as printed in WD, Other than proxy the WD are the only official rules. They were uploaded to the GW website as a free PDF to download, along with rules for Agnor Prok and all that jazz But they took all the PDF's off. I do have the pdf mind when I heard they were 'remodelling' the site I panick downloaded almost everything that was available. Good decision? lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215484-deathwatch/#findComment-2582702 Share on other sites
