malika666
So I just finished listening to Throne of Lies and something is bugging me. In Soul Hunter Talos kills M'Shen, it is described in quite some detail. But then in Throne of Lies Talos kills another Callidus assassin, but at the end when Talos watches M'Shen's recording, it becomes evident that she is the same assassin he killed earlier (the one he killed in Throne of Lies). However, the way he kills the assassin in Throne of Lies is very different from how he kills M'Shen in Soul Hunter. So which one is it? Has ADB been contradicting himself? Master Ciaphas
Hail Nah - I understand them to be two very different assassins. M'Shen dies..."not well", as Bond would say...but, then again...neither does the other Callidus... Both are good yarns, though Soul Hunter is by far the superior piece of work, of the two. Paradigm
Its just an allusion to the callidus assassins being so similar. I don't think it means that she is the exact same one. Just that they were unchanged in form since the heresy. The night lords are, with reason, not too keen on the callidus temple and the fact that they still do their thing in the exact same way; I think it sort of irked Talos. It doesn't help that they are semi-changeling. They might also all look identical after taking their shape-shifting drugs. malika666
I know, but at the end he is listening to a recording of M'Shen and then it is implied that this was the same assassin he had disemboweled. A D-B
I know, but at the end he is listening to a recording of M'Shen and then it is implied that this was the same assassin he had disemboweled. Not sure how that's implied, dude. He kills M'Shen about 10,000 years before he meets Jezharra. At the end, he's listening to the recording the Callidus left in their temple, which is a recording of M'Shen's log from when she faced the primarch at the end of the Horus Heresy. Edit: Its just an allusion to the callidus assassins being so similar. I don't think it means that she is the exact same one. Just that they were unchanged in form since the heresy. The night lords are, with reason, not too keen on the callidus temple and the fact that they still do their thing in the exact same way; I think it sort of irked Talos. That, too. malika666
Thanks for the reply dude! I guess it's just a tiny bit confusing since both assassins have exactly the same voice. Dryad
Thanks for the reply dude! I guess it's just a tiny bit confusing since both assassins have exactly the same voice. There is only one female voice actor on the CD. Just use your imagination... malika666
And one male voice, yet the male does many different voices and accents. The female voice actress does multiple voices as well, Octavia for example sounds very different from the two Callidus assassins. They might have given the two a different accent or even voice or some sort of accentuation to make the two sound different.
