Marshal Wilhelm
its funny, I was just looking through Black Library site and read the info about Prospero Burns. About the book: The Emperor is enraged. Primarch Magnus the Red of the Thousand Sons Legion has made a terrible mistake that endangers the very safety of Terra. With no other choice, the Emperor charges Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves, with the apprehension of his brother from the Thousand Sons home world of Prospero. This planet of sorcerers will not be easy to overcome, but Russ and his Space Wolves are not easily deterred. With wrath in his heart, Russ is determined to bring Magnus to justice and bring about the fall of Prospero. Truth be told... Leman Russ was just going to apprehend Magnus, until Horus told Leman about the rumor of Magnus spreading amongst his legion that "there are no wolves on Fenris" of course this enraged Russ, as his honor felt insulted.. it was one of the major things that motivated the Wolf King to bring Ragnarok on Prospero, and so came to pass what we know today as "The burning of Prospero." Touché A hit, a palpable hit. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215690-space-wolves-let-us-finish-this-sentence/page/2/#findComment-2580716 Share on other sites

Durfast Spiritwolf
For a learned man Magnus displayed shockingly poor grammar. 'No' is not a number it is the way of expressing the negative. Magnus, write out one hundred times: 'There are not any wolves of Fenris ... MaveriK
"there are no wolves on Fenris.. only wolves of Fenris." Tis a good riddle, mister Abnett... well played! once people read the novel, they will hopefully figure it out, as I think I have. SPOILER ALERT outsiders look at space wolves as barbaric and uncivilized. We are even referred to as and called, Space Wolves, we apparently we hate being called that. We prefer being called as "The Rout" and fomally, as "The Vlka Fenryka." It's a funny parallel, because I think the whole.. there are no space wolves comment is just a cleaver way of saying that, what people see from the outside and what people think, is not really what is true. Kinda like, don't judge a book by it's cover. And the wolves of Fenris have done a great job putting on a play, in front of everyone. Almost like giving outsiders false information about... there are no wolves on Fenris. Not only to cover up our secrets, as is the gene splicing and the canis helix+wulfen curse. It's more of a mind game. Kinda like the idea of Astartes vs Astartes is so unthinkable and unimaginable. Even the idea of an executioner legion is unthinkable. But it's there and it's true. --edit-- grr dang iphone and auto-correct :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215690-space-wolves-let-us-finish-this-sentence/page/2/#findComment-2595374 Share on other sites
