Your intended chapters

The Phoenix Guard which has been WIP for Emperor know's how long. Keep playing with their geneseed/beginings. As soon as I begin to flesh them out I come up with other ideas. Other ideas that are in the pipe line are:

Screaming Skulls: Gene seed derived from the Sons of Orar. They like to employ scare tactics before the destroy heathen lives.

Desolators: Love to use fire power and lots of it. Devastator units and armour aplenty with these bad boys who like to rain death down upon their for. Iron Hands or Imperial Fist geneseed, yet to be decided.

Spears of Destiny/Doom: The fact that I can't even decide their name yet tells you all you need to know! They are going to be tribal and perfer close combat tactics. Want to use Blood Angel geneseed but don't want the whole curse issue. Probably gonna be a very long WIP!!!!

Grigorians: These guys are going to be renegade. Really want to use these guys to explore the whole religion/technology issue within the Imperium. Want these guys to some how play a part with my Phoenix Guard, maybe as antagonists? Imperial Fist geneseed. They will be very tech savy.

Just a few DIY chapters that I have in my head, must make sure I start one and finish it rather than start one then start another without finishing the previous one!

If you don't want the curse, then you don't want the Geneseed. Best to find another.

In addition to my Iron Eagles (rev 2 coming soon, I promise), here are a couple of ideas bouncing around in my head:

IA: Angels of Fury: the name from an off-hand mention in Codex: Space Marines, the character based on 4chan's “Angry Marines.” (Warning: language). Colors: Red on Yellow. Gene-seed: unknown, most likely Blood Angels or World Eaters (21st Founding). Battle cry: “ALWAYS ANGRY! ALL THE TIME!”

IT: Splicers of Rapture: Legion XI, messed with biology to try and improve gene-seed; eventually produced female Space Marines, caused problems (think: Eugenics Wars from Star Trek) and got curb-stomped by the other Legions and expunged from all Imperial records. Colors: Gold pauldrons/greaves on Orange-Red. Gene-seed: Legion XI (basically, it's not entirely stable, hence the efforts to improve it).

Spears of Destiny/Doom: The fact that I can't even decide their name yet tells you all you need to know! They are going to be tribal and perfer close combat tactics. Want to use Blood Angel geneseed but don't want the whole curse issue. Probably gonna be a very long WIP!!!!

If you don't want the curse, then you don't want the Geneseed. Best to find another.

White Scars.

Drawn from a tribal culture with a close combat ethic, just substittue the whole blitzkrieg style of warfare.

Easy to say that a Chapter Master drawn from a tribal culture might choose the same as the recruiting ground for his Chapter.

White Scars.

I think that's a good idea.

As for the colour scheme, I like both, but I prefer the first one you did; black and blue are always use for "Storm" chapters' schemes and its nice to see something different.

No no no, I meant the Titan coat hangers! You know for hanging your Titan on. Anyways the Titan closest (where you hang the Titan coat hangers) is over here.

Oh... :)

Void Reavers - Formerly known as Project: "Rave Demon"... a project that should be remembered so as to prevent the return of it's munchkinisms... These guys are my main group and are built outside of the codex organizational structure and operational loadouts. For example they employ Guide's instead of captains. A guides duty is to direct a battle not from the frontlines but from the back where he directs his brothers and manipulates the battle towards the ultimate goal. The guide concept also applies to how the chapter views their work within the Oculus sub-sector. Of course this is a little more complex then a short little summary because it depends upon from where you stand when you look upon them.

Rave Knights - a chapter born of honor and damned by honor. They formed an honor bind with a minor chaos "god"* and now find themselves torn between their twin duties to the Emperor of Man and <_unnamed_>. They execute all of their brothers who become possessed or willingly take on chaos marks and mutations. The exception is that they do accept rune armor and weapons from <_unnamed_> as he is one of their patrons. While the chapter will raid for supplies from the Imperium they prefer to attack traitor and xeno targets.

Concepts: - the following are concept status only and not likely to advance beyond it.

Scoreth Marauders - A chapter with only two working organs the Black Carapace and the Progenoids. Inspired by a line read somewhere about how those two organs were what truely marked a person as a Astartes.

Project: Skulking Scorpions: - the base concept is that the chapter has replaced all of their technological hardware with organic hardware retaining technology only in the area's they can't replicate such as warp-field generators and planetary drives. Concept was that they did this out of the need to fight a force of xeno techno-paths that were making inroads into imperial space...

* I prefer the term Warp Xeno rather then Chaos 'god'. This term is also used within the Void Reaver's IA.

Here are my ideas that I have been kicking around for a while…

1) Razor Hawks = They mainly use jump packs and landspeeders for a more “aerial theme”, the colors could be anything but maybe a dark blue, red and gold.

2) Solar Angels/Angels Solara = they would be my follow the basic IA chapter with black and blue color scheme.

3) Black Dawn = a chapter with a very dark past, something like their homeworld was destroyed and now they are on a crusade, this is the new chapter name to represent their new mission and purpose.

4) Havoc Hounds

5) Grim Grins = a Chapter that loves to fight the Orks, kinda of taking on Orkish ways, this could be trouble for the chapter vs the rest of the Imperium.

6) Infinity Corps = another typical IA chapter

7) Inferno Crusaders/Megadons

8) Ikarion Hammers

9) Imperial Vipers = a White Scars type of chapter

10) Cold Hearts

11) Dokokai = an all assassin group or an all infiltration chapter… like a ninja clan…

As for themes of Chapters I like the use of nothing but razorbacks and 6 man tac sqds… I think I could use this to write around a chapter…

You mean the model? Its one of many awesome things that come with the "Firestorm Over Kronos" modification. :P

Can you send me a link over PM to download that? Or you could just send me a link with more of these downloads... It sounds like there are more :D

EDIT: :P

Bava? How did you do that with your DoW painter, so that I can do that?

If you mean how do you get a screenshot of the image: Make your Marine in the DOW painter. Press the PRINT SCREEN button (normally next to the F12 button), Press and hold the ALT key and press the TAB button to go back to Windows/Desktop. Load the art program of your choice (GIMP, Photoshop etc) and then go to the menu at the top and select paste. You can then edit the picture to your liking :D

Edit: Got the wrong end of the stick :P I haven't seen DOWII so I thought the image was a "standard" one.... d'oh!

Brazen Bellatores - Ultramarines succesor gone slaanesh. No idea about the backround story yet but I do have a colour scheme

BB chapter master:

Looks like my colour scheme lol

I finally got myself to start the Iron Flames. I have the following stuck in my head:

ARDI Chapter(ARDI is not their name. I just made something up to use with my Ork hating marine squad and the name stuck.)- hate Orks. Have a blue-silver mix for the base color and brown for the trim and kneepads. Possible White Scars descendants. Based on a knightly order. Use bikes a lot.

? Chapter- Have a Tin Bitzish color scheme. Siege types. Lots of Termies and Vindicators. Nearish, but not on, a Forge World. Have a large, well defended fortress. Dislike space travel.

  • 2 weeks later...
Sons of Omegon-They split from the Alpha Legion during the Horus Heresy. They fight as a mercenary force that favors small, independent units taking their own objectives and mutually supporting each other.Their gene-seed has two quirks. One, it has caused each marine in the entire chapter to develop a psychic link to each and every marine in the chapter. This link causes each minute emotion and sensation that each brother feels to be shared with the rest. This causes the sensation to become incredibly diluted, allowing the marines to shrug off horrific wounds. The pain is barely felt, even by the brother with the wound. The second quirk is caused by the link.It turns the marine's skin tan and his hair brown.
