Dosjetka
So, another army to make ;) Not sure if I'll finish this one but I've gotten off to a good start and so I'll try and complete it. What I'm trying to achieve is a Heresy-era army of tabletop painting quality and with minimal use of FW goodies (not enough £££). Each model with have it's own conversion and though not all of the models will be 100% fluff adherent, I'm trying to get as close as possible with minimal damage to my savings! So, without further chatter, I present you pictures! Test model: http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280190.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280191.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280194.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280193.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280195.jpg And some other Astartes that will be completed and painted shortly. Converted Apothecary: http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280197.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280201.jpg Missile launcher Astartes: http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/spez1295/PB280202.jpg C&C is always appreciated! GooseDaMoose
Looks great! Awesome freehand and crazy cool apothecary. Though I really don't understand what everyone sees in the Ultramarines.. -sigh- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215992-heresy-era-ultramarine-blog/#findComment-2574578 Share on other sites
tiny sam
Nice job on the free hand it look cool. my only critics about the apothicairy is the elbow. even if this position is possible, it would be far more natural if the hand and Narthecium/reductor would be turned by 45 degree clockwise. Lord Antares
I've had the same issue as you regarding Forge World and cost (haven't we all!) and the heresy armour, you've done good in my opinion! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/215992-heresy-era-ultramarine-blog/#findComment-2574898 Share on other sites
Dosjetka
did you trim that beak helmet? It looks different. Yeah, I did, as per Alex Boyd's beakies in his artwork for the 'dex :) Looks great! Awesome freehand and crazy cool apothecary. Though I really don't understand what everyone sees in the Ultramarines.. -sigh- Cheers GdM :) Well, I just like them :) Can't say much more I'm afraid. even if this position is possible, it would be far more natural if the hand and Narthecium/reductor would be turned by 45 degree clockwise. Argh! I thought of doing just that but then I thoguht that it wouldn't look natural  Oh well, I'll see what I can do! Cheers for the C&C though :) I've had the same issue as you regarding Forge World and cost (haven't we all!) and the heresy armour, you've done good in my opinion! Cheers Antares! Yeah, and as I can't ship to my house, I'd have to ship to my local store which charges me extra! (no way I'm paying extra) So anyway, I'll be doing my best with normal GW marien bits!
