Codex: Daemonhunters, Page 15, regarding GKT’s:

 

“Storm bolter and Nemesis force weapon, or thunder hammer and storm shield”.

 

I interpret this as being able to decide which individual models within the squad have these weapons.

 

Example: I give my BC a TH/SS. Then I purchase a Psycannon and swap it with the SS. Thus, my BC has a TH/Psycannon. The remaining members of the squad would have SB/NFW.

 

Is this an incorrect interpretation?

not on a normal terminator, it specificly says

a model may replace his storm bolter with a psycannon

but it does say that the brother capitian can take any equipment from the armory, at the right cost however. so i guess for the BC you could put on the storm sheild and thunder hammer then pay for the psycannon from the armory. and replace the respected weapon

I could also get a chainfist for the same price as the psycannon, and go with the storm bolter. Or, buy the storm bolter for ten points to replace the SS.

Evsicerator > Chainfis! :D (I really hope we don't lose Evisceraors in the next Codex. ;) I've always wanted a Squad of Terminators with SS/Eviscerator loadouts!)

 

Well, unless you want a Psycannon/Chain Fist Loadout, as the Evsicerator is also a 2 handed weapon. :)

The squad upgrade Brother-Captain with free Thunderhammer/ armory Psycannon is perfectly legal, it's what I do to get a cheap Thunderhammer lots of the time ;) You cannot pull the same trick with a HQ choice Brother-Captain though, just the Elites squad upgrade one.
