Vindicator Nagalfahr

Hey bunch,

I just finished this Vindicator and thought I'd share it with you. It was a gift from my girlfriend back then, however I never was into the Vindicator that much, and I had no real idea of what to do with it either.

It's been sitting on my shelf for about a year now, so I decided it was time to get the old lady into working condition.

And what can I say, I really started digging the look of it. It's massive silhouette is quite impressing.

Comments and critiques are very much appreciated.

Some more views, especially of the Great Company freehand.

That's all for now :P

Hope you like brothers.

I do, very much . Well done. I want to echo Hear da Lamentation's comment, I love a 'used' look on vehicles. That over the 'just rolled of the production line' look (not that I have anything against that style of painting I just think it ends up looking generic :)).

Thanks a lot brothers, glad you like the old lady.

Yeah, good work. How do you do your chipped paint?

Depends, usually I first paint a bunch of spots with space wolves grey.

After that I paint over those particular areas with a 50:50 mix of scorched brown and chaos black, leaving the space wolves grey showing around the lower half. The upper half of the bright spot should be entirely covered by the mix, thus creating the effect of light from above reflecting on the lower edge.

Hope that helps.

cheers

Thanks guys

the weathering work is really good...how did you make the dust efffect on the caterpillars?..pigment? How did you apply them?

Yeah, those are pigments. They were simply mixed with some white spirit and applied by stippling them on by brush, nothing fancy at all.
