Seva
Are the helmets on our sanguinary priests still white? I have a spare Emperor's Champion I am going to paint and he was going to go the route of the Sanguinary Priest but I don't rightly know what colors to make him. Are they all red or do they have white helmets? Do they still carry all that medical gear or do they just have a grail? I have seen the one on the GW site and it looks like he still has all the drills and needles but the wargear description says "grail" so I was curious as to what you all thought. Obey the Emperor. igotsmeakabob!!
According to the 'dex, from what I recall, our marines get FNP & FC from the grails that the priests carry. However, with so many priests and so few grails, shards have been made from said grails and inserted into the nartheciums, which appear to still have as potent a psychic signature as the original grails themselves. Basically, model him however you wish, whether it be with grail, narthecium, or both. I painted mine with white helmets, red armor and white trim as I find that aesthetically pleasing. Zeller
A medic is a medic regardless of name. Ours just have additional responsibilities within the chapter. => narthecium, reductor, and a grail. White helmets on priests is quite striking with the trim and red armor. Angelus Mortifer
I went with white for my latest Priest to help him stand out that bit more from the rank and file. Just personal preference of course. If you can't decide you could always go bare headed - I did with my first... http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx54/SebJones_photos/Blood%20Angels/SangPriest5.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216152-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2576940 Share on other sites
Jorre
There is no set rule really, however I do like to put at least a little white on my priests, sometimes I give them white shoulders sometimes I make the whole model white. Really you can do what ever you like Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216152-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2576949 Share on other sites
Erasmus of Baal
I ignore the whole "mystical Grail of healing" idea; my Sanguinary Priests have some Grail iconography, but mostly Narthecii. Once I start painting them, I'll post some of my kitbashed/converted Narthecii. Also, I am in full support of white trim and helmets for Sanguinary Priests. IronKobra
I have gone with the running grail motif on the armour, one of the Sang Guard/DC pads with a grail and fancy border and apothecary arms too. I also converted some torsos to have apothercary type bits on them so they will clearly stand out as being priests. I am keeping my own with that theme going acroos every model and Corbulo will be the only dude with a grail...THE grail!
