Tsavong Lah
Our Dreadnoughts can be equipped with a Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer, which strikes me as a little bit redundant—since template weapons already autohit everything under the template, what's the point of being "twin-linked"? There was never a to-hit roll in the first place, so what is there to reroll? Am I missing something obvious? Sturm Moonwolf
Twin-linked heavy flamers re-roll wounds. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216164-twin-linked-heavy-flamer/#findComment-2577042 Share on other sites
Heimer
Twin-linked template weapons are allowed to reroll "to wound" instead of to hit (as well as rerolling armour penetration dice, if you try to toast vehicles with your flamer), so it is actually very nice. LPetersson
Now, if only the Dreadnought box actually came with one, I'd be happy... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216164-twin-linked-heavy-flamer/#findComment-2577172 Share on other sites
Taeken
Fairly easy to convert / make one. Take a look at the Forgeworld one for inspiration. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216164-twin-linked-heavy-flamer/#findComment-2577594 Share on other sites
Vorion
Hit up a Guard player, they will prob have a few extra flamers. I know that I have like four sitting in my bits box. I used one on my dread in a drop pod and it tore apart nids eldar and guard. I pretty much got to pick a squad I wanted to remove and kill it first turn Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216164-twin-linked-heavy-flamer/#findComment-2578670 Share on other sites

Chapter Master Ignis Domus
It works quite well against slightly tougher Tyranids that still form hordes. Most people think that they're tough enough to be compacted into hordes without fear of many template weapons. Enter the TL Heavy Flamer of doom. Tizzony
Am i correct in thinking that with the Hf upgrade and a twin-linked Hf you get two templates attacks? Chapter Master Ignis Domus
If they are two separate weapons, you get two templates. Only one of them rerolls wounds.
